–17 years of complimentary bra fittings to help women look good, and do good–

WHAT: Make an impact by joining Wacoal in their mission to help end breast cancer with Fit for the Cure®!

This Fall, help Wacoal reach the goal of fitting 1 million women for a new bra, and donating over $5 million to Susan G. Komen®, by attending one of over 600 events across North America.

For 17 years, Wacoal has dedicated their efforts to educating more than 820,000 women across 411 cities in the US and Canada about the importance of bra fit, foundation and overall breast health. Through Fit For The Cure, Wacoal and Susan G. Komen® strive to provide the single most effective tool to reduce breast cancer: access to high quality breast cancer care.

Throughout September – November 2017, do something good for yourself, while contributing to a worthy cause.  Receive a complimentary bra fitting at a local Fit for the Cure® event conducted by a Wacoal fit specialist. When you show up and participate in a free bra fitting, Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. Komen®, to benefit breast cancer research and community health programs. Wacoal will also donate an additional $2 for every Wacoal bra, shapewear piece or b.tempt’d bra purchased at the event, with a guaranteed aggregate minimum donation of $250,000 to Komen in 2017.

Participants in Fit for the Cure® events are also encouraged to partake in Wacoal’s #IGotFit social media campaign. For every woman who shares a photo with the Wacoal “I Got Fit®” sign on social media, an additional $1 will be donated to Susan G. Komen®.

WHY:

Health:

Wearing a bra should not be even slightly uncomfortable. Research shows that 8 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong sized bra.  Women should be professionally fitted for a bra at least once a year to ensure their bra size has not changed as a result of natural fluctuations in their body.

Philanthropy:

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American women age 40-59 and accounts for nearly 1 in 3 cancers diagnosed in the U.S.  By taking less than 15 minutes to meet with a Wacoal fit expert, you are helping to contribute to an important cause.

Making an Impact:

Susan G. Komen® is the largest provider of breast health funding, after the US government. Aside from groundbreaking medical research, Komen also provides vital support services directly to women and their families dealing with breast cancer.  These services include family and personal support in the form of child care and meals, interpretation services, transportation to and from treatment and patient navigation services for those considering treatment options. By participating in a Fit for the Cure® event, you are helping to support these women and their families in the fight the battle against breast cancer.

A trip with the Urban Angels

We are honored to work with The Urban Angels on their amazing dress drive! We delivered 55 dresses that were handmade by these amazing women! We stopped by to check out The Action Center and all the amazing ways they serve those in need in the Jefferson County area.

It takes at least 80 volunteers daily to run this facility. Places like #Walmart, #WholeFoods, #TraderJoes, and #Sprouts donate to The Action Center so families can get healthy food, clothes, and household items.

Please donate! They are in need of children’s clothing and men’s clothing!
