Grand Opening forRevolver: A Salon!

Where Mad Men meets The Beatles.
Saturday, August 23rd 7pm-11pm
1489 Steele St, Denver, Colorado 80206

Revolver is the first solo business venture for owner and stylist Kitty Vincent.  Kitty is a native to Denver, and has been active in both its fashion and music communities for close to a decade and a half.  She started out 14 years ago working in record stores like the historic Wax Trax, and playing in bands, the most notable of which was Le Divorce from 2008-2012.  She became a hair stylist in 2002 and spent the first 7 years of her career working for The Parlour, an extremely successful Denver salon chain.  After a brief partnership at 3 Little Birds Salon in 2012-13, Kitty left to open her own business.

As a lifetime lover of The Beatles and everything mod, it seemed only natural to create a space that would incorporate these things.  The early-mid 60’s had truly great style, in both fashion and design, as well as great music. To Kitty, it seemed like the perfect atmosphere for a truly great salon.  Clients can get a haircut while relaxing with a manhattan, or thumb through their vinyl collection and play a record while they wait in the lobby. The staff at Revolver seek to create a hip, unique, and comfortable space where clients can relax and leave looking amazing. Whether they see themselves as Don Draper or Keith Richards, Marilyn Monroe or Patti Smith, guests will find a home with Revolver.

They are located in Congress/City Park, right in the bustling heart of east Colfax’s densely populated Bluebird Theater district, They are surrounded by The Tattered Cover, Twist & Shout, Stella Trattoria, Goosetown, Mezcal, Atomic Cowboy, Hooked on Colfax Cafe, Endorphin Gym & Yoga, and many other great businesses.

The owner and staff can’t wait to celebrate their new space with you on August 23rd.  Party will be held at the salon 1489 Steele St, on the SW corner of Colfax and Steele.

Kurt Redeker is a digital artist based in Denver, Colorado. Redeker is a student of geometric patternmaking, taking cues from Islamic, Mayan and Aztec art and imagery. His art is heavily influenced by sacred geometry, the ancient study of the fundamental patterns of life, the oldest math known to man. By studying the structure of these images and their geometric relationship to one another, his art seeks to gain insight into the aesthetic and scientific laws of the universe. By manipulating pattern and color to create movement within a static medium, Redeker endeavors to communicate a portal to life; he believes that his art taps into the healing power of universal vibration and engages a visionary consciousness in the viewer.

Gartner has decided to change the sales location and operating days. “I’m so excited to bring Frock Shop back for it’s third year! The new location has tons of space to fill with great merchandise and it has a private parking lot. I have decided to scale the sale back to one day and to focus on the Spring sale only this year,” Says Gartner.

After 2 successful years, Katie has added new designers and boutiques to the line-up and this sale is going to be even better than the sales in years past. This sale is a great way to not only get designer fashions at a discount but also as way to discover Denver’s talents. Don’t miss this opportunity to shop Denver’s Boutiques & Designers as well as add great new pieces to your wardrobe. This will be the only chance this year!
