Freedom
Star
Sahar Parirokh
How would you describe the style of your designs?
Nothing matches but it all tells a story. Being
transplanted to the States in 80's certainly has its influence,
a-symmetrical is my fav but it can't live without my fashion
philosophy for wearing the same thing new. So, Freedom
Star earrings come in trio's that mix-n-match, and the
necklaces usually have something that can lay in the front
or down your back, and sometimes it wraps all the way
around your waist.

What materials do you usually use?
I have become a fan of stainless steel for its
durability, but I mix it up with silver and gold. Mostly
plated, but also custom make the real deal and nickel
free.
what is the story behind the name of your line?
It was when I realized the thing I was searching
high and low for was always in me. There was nothing physically
blocking me. I had freedom to reach my star, that dream,
whatever it would be was possible. And so, as time has
passed Freedom Star went from scarves to earrings, fashionlanthropist,
mentorship and hopefully it will all intertwine to blossom
into a community center.
what is the first piece you ever made?
Parvaneh, or the butterfly dangle earrings. I
found the butterfly first and knew I wanted it to hang
near my face.
if you could dress anyone in the world who would
it be?
Everyone. I make jewelry that suit women for
whatever mood they wake up in.
where can we find your designs?
Markets in Colorado, New York and Florida...but
really anyone, anywhere can just get onto www.freedomstaronline.com
