Fashion Denver fuses antiquity with modernism at Grant-Humphreys Mansion
Fashion Denver is excited to present “REVOLUTION”, this fall’s fashion show that will be held at the historic Grant-Humphreys mansion Sunday October 23rd from 11pm to 6pm. A free affair that’s open to the public, the fashion market was created for guests to shop and support the local designers of Denver. This season, Fashion Denver will be showcasing over 100 years of fashion spanning from yesteryear to the trendsetting couture of today walking the runways of Colorado.
The all day event will begin with a series of fashion shows featuring designs by 20 Denver based designers, with Denver’s own entrepreneurs, artists and musicians modeling the styles down the runway. The occasion will conclude with a fashion finale that’s fit for the times, where guests will have the chance to witness the ever-growing saga of fashion design from its beginning where each designer will showcase designs that represent a decade in a century long history of fashion. Guests will be able to get a glimpse into the past, and celebrate the history of fashion while watching history be made in the eyes of the design world.
Guests will also have a chance to purchase styles from more than 20 fashion designers (with the first 50 shoppers earning a tote bag designed by artist Max Kauffman), witness a live fashion shoot with photographer Thomas Cooper, relax with a mini-manicure offered by Tootsies, and be sketched with a spark of fashion flair by artist Tricia Hoke!
Special guests and performances will include 9 News and Metromix’s host Heidi McGuire partaking in modeling festivities, singer/songwriter Chella Negro giving an acoustic performance and newly crowned Ms. Denver Modernism, Grace Stean modeling and showcasing her violin artistry.
Blending the antiquity of history with the modern luxuries of today, this year’s fashion market might even make Queen Elizabeth herself, a little jealous.
