When did you start designing?
When I was 8 years old, I started making Barbie cloths, you could buy littlw tiny buttons and shoes and hats.
How would you describe the style of your designs?
Fancy, flashy and feminine.
Where do you find your inspiration?
Everywhere!, A button might inspire an entire line, or history on television. I wish people dressed a little dressier!
What materials do you usually work with?
40 years of sewing……anything from baby booties to corsets, and all types of formal wear. I would have to say none stretch solids. Making a garment form fitting without the benefit of knit or Lycra.
What is the first piece you ever made?
The first outfit I made, in junior high school, was a pair of turquoise slacks (very high waisted, 1974, they even had a zipper) and a stretchy knit top, (very short) with short sleeves. I was skinnier than a size zero, so I started to make my own cloths.
If you could dress anyone in the world, who would it be?
Cher
Where can we find your designs?
The Lisa Wear Clothing web site is being built under the name pointperfect.com. The history to my company name choice comes from my maiden name, I grew up as Lisa Wear and always imaged that I would use my name for a clothing line. Things to come include: Point Perfect, a custom embroidery company that is already quite busy, Rework, a refashion company, specializing in reworking an existing wardrobe to meet a persons current size or style. Lisa Wear Clothing is my main focus though, clothing of all types. I love to make dresses, wedding or summer halters, any kind of dress is a great project for me!
Lisa Wear Clothing………it’s all about you!
