Fashion Denver and Tease-Studios are excited to announce BOUNCE, this summer’s fashion market with a fitness twist. The event is based on a vision of combining the forces of fashion and fitness. The event is free and open to the public, and will be held at the Grant- Humphreys Mansion, on Sunday, June 3rd from 10am to 6pm.

By creating an active yet chic environment, we’re embodying the culture of Denver. While local designers are selling and showcasing their pieces on the main floor, fitness and dance classes will be going on in the grand ballroom. There will also be 3 fashion shows throughout the day.

Designers will feature both traditional pieces and fitness inspired items. So no matter if your a runway walker or devoted yogi, a fashion designer or cyclist, everyone’s bound to enjoy.

Tease-Studio- created in August of 2007, the dream of an ex-ballet dancer wanting to offer the women of Denver a fun way to love fitness and feel more confident about themselves than ever. Tease-Studio is now the workout addiction for thousands of woman throughout the Denver area.

Both companies are excited to promote health and wellness, as well as inspire summer trends.

What a successful clothing drive we had out our Fashion Denver headquarters! As a Denver Women’s Commissioner, it’s always a thrill to be able to spearhead this clothing drive and work with our team on creating such a wonderful event. This year we teamed up with Warren Village. The ARC Thriftstores give vouchers to the women of Warren Village and they can shop at any ARC thriftstore to get what they need. Our clothing drive was held on Saturday, April 28th.

Who: The World Trade Center Denver’s premier gala kicks off World Trade Week on the evening of May16th with stunning contemporary fashions from local and international designers.  Runway models will showcase the fashions in an unconventional catwalk show through the audience.  The following designers are confirmed for the event:

Heidi McGuire, formerly with 9news, will emcee the event.

WHAT: The gala, which will include a formal dinner and silent auction, will highlight international fashion talent among other entertainment at this Oscar-like evening event.  Limos will shuttle guests to the red carpet of the event center, where they will be greeted with paparazzi cameras, a press wall, and a champagne reception.

When: Lights, cameras, action will begin at 5:30 PM and conclude at 10:30 PM, the program will begin at 7:00 PM.

WHERE: Infinity Park Event Center, 4400 East Kentucky Avenue.

WHY: Proceeds from the silent auction will go to benefit the Young Americans Center for Financial Education’s International Towne, a unique Denver-based non-profit that teaches middle school students the essentials of international trade, foreign exchange, and cross-cultural success.

Guests are encouraged to wear international dress or formal attire to the event.  Tickets for the gala start at $125 per person.  Details can be found at www.wtcdenver.org.

This summer, we bring fashion and fitness together at the Grant-Humphreys mansion! With fashion filling the mansion, fitness activities and dance classes happening throughout the grounds, we figure what a perfect time to celebrate the summer!

The market opens to the public at 10am and runs until 6, with 3 different fashion shows that run through the course of the day.

This position is responsible for supporting the design team to develop and produce clothing from the design sketch through to production. Position will include working with vendors on all products and keeping track of all approvals between designers and factories.

- Manage and organize all detailed information of each garment from international factories.
- Oversee all prototypes and sale sample processes and ensure bulk production quality.
- Measure, inspect, evaluate, comment and approve all garments for quality and correct specifications.
- Prepare and revise all technical spec packs using Corel Draw (or Adobe Suite)  Advise revisions and approvals to international factories.
- Source fabrics, trims, and factories internationally and domestically.
- Prepare and ensure all samples are to specifications and complete for photo shoots and shows.
- Assist Design and Marketing teams.

The community provides subsidized housing, on-site nationally accredited child care, intensive case management, educational guidance and career development. This intergraded system has been adopted as a national model. The staff, donors, and volunteers are creating TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGE everyday, and you can too.

Arc Thrift Stores. A non-profit organization that works to enhance the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. The proceeds generated through the sale of gently used clothing and household items at Arc Thrift Stores are distributed to Arc Chapters and the Association for Community Living (ACL) throughout Colorado.

U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive—a photograph he found of a woman he doesn’t even know. Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.

Hicks directed the film from a screenplay by Will Fetters (“Remember Me”), adapted from the Nicholas Sparks novel The Lucky One. The producers are Denise Di Novi, who previously produced film adaptations of the Nicholas Sparks novels “A Walk To Remember,” “Nights In Rodanthe” and “Message in a Bottle,” and Kevin McCormick (“Arthur”). Ravi Mehta, Alison Greenspan and Bruce Berman served as executive producers, and Kerry Heysen as co-producer.

History Colorado Family Programs Facilitator -Make and Take Craft Room

This is a paid, part-time, non-benefited position (18-24 hours/week)
at the History Colorado Center.  The rate is $10 per hour.

Position Purpose: To welcome family visitors to the History Colorado Center and facilitate their participation in our craft activities.

Our make and take craft activities are designed to supplement a family’s museum experience by giving our visitors the ability to engage in craft activities that build upon exhibit themes throughout the museum.  Activities for all ages are offered each weekend from the beginning of May through Memorial Day, and daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  The make and take room will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All activities in the make and take room are free for adults with museum admission.

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for selecting the daily craft, learning the associated content, and teaching the content and craft to family visitors
• Be at the History Colorado Center 3-4 days per week to run the craft room
• Use both existing craft activities and create new ones consisting of crafts appropriate for multi-age levels (2-12)
• Arrive 30 minutes hour prior to craft room opening to gather materials, and set up.
• Stay 30 minutes after craft room closing to clean up and organize supplies
• Maintain dialogue with the Visitor Experience Coordinator about what supplies need to be purchased as far in advance as possible.
• Responsible for working with volunteers in the make and take classroom

Job Qualifications:

▪Excellent customer service skills

▪Experience working with children

▪Some experience with history

▪High School, college, or graduate student

▪Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
