Katie Gartner, an Apparel and Merchandising graduate from Colorado State University started Frock Shop Sales LLC “to find a way to offer designer goods at a discount. I love designer clothes and I love a good deal so this was a way to combine the two”.

Shoppers will experience a treasure hunt of pieces from local designers that are truly unique with some never making it to production. The Frock Shop sales team has created a beneficial relationship with both local designers and retailers that allows them to liquidate their inventory while customers are able to purchase the finest quality clothing at the fraction of the cost.

Frock Shop is an avenue through which these designers and retailers are able to liquidate their inventory and they do so by offering large price discounts to turn their inventories back into cash. Its a win/win situation for everyone! Designers and retailers are able to liquidate their inventory into cash while shoppers are able to purchase high quality designer clothing and accessories for a fraction of the cost.

I am thrilled to be co-producing Frock Out 2012!

Frock Out 2012
Denver Public Library
April 19th

(Denver) Coproduced by Fashion Denver’s Brandi Shigley and Fresh City Life.

Following on the stiletto heels of the wildly successful Frock Out: Sideshow in 2010, Denver Public Library’s Fresh City Life has this year’s Frock Out well in hand. Planned for Thursday night on April 19, this year’s event will be bigger and more stylish than ever. Twelve designers have been selected by a panel of fashion experts and are preparing the runway garments in preparation for the big show. Frock Out highlights the Denver fashion scene and the talented designers that are turning Denver into an oasis of high style. The April date for this third installment was carefully chosen so that the designers could draw inspiration for one of their garments from the 100thanniversary of the sinking of the Titanic (April 15, 1912) and they have been charged by the judges to create a finale piece that is evocative of the opulence, decadence and hubris that surrounded the maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic.

You’re invited to Frock Out: come undone. All sales benefit Fresh City Life programming at Denver Public Library. Tickets on sale at www.dplfriends.org or by calling 720.865.2051.

In tribute to the RMS Carpathia and all the survivors that she brought aboard after the tragic sinking of the Titanic, there will also be a special RMS Titanic Survivors Brunch on April 15, 11a-1p in the B2 Conference Center of Central Library. Guests will be treated to a string quartet, readings from Walter Lords A Night to Remember  and a delicious brunch provided by Whole Foods Market. All sales benefit Fresh City Life programming at Denver Public Library. Tickets on sale at www.dplfirnds.org or by calling 720.865.2051.

For more info about Frock Out or to speak to organizers or designers,  please contact Chris Loffelmacher at 720.865.1205 or via email at cloffel@denverlibrary.org
