1) Business name

Cara Diane + Co.

2) Mission of business

Be Curious. Be Authentic. Be Creative.

We make art so you can wear it. We are uber inspired by originality and are here to help you be your you-est you.

3) How is your product  / services helping the world be more green or sustainably conscious?

We use eco-friendly water based inks that are all CPSIA compliant and are handled and disposed of in a responsible manner. We use recycled materials for our packaging and shipping whenever available.

All our products are fair trade and our fabrics are sourced from eco-friendly and sweatshop free organizations. We donate a “drop” of proceeds to Drop in the Bucket, which is an independent non-profit organization that provides sustainable solutions to the water crisis in Sub-Saharan Africa by building wells and sanitation systems.

4) What do you hope to get out of ReUP?

I think what we are looking forward to most is the opportunity to showcase how doing business in a responsible way is actually more fun and fashionable.

We are so excited to team up with Fashion Denver as well as all the other amazing designers and small businesses for ReUP. We can’t wait to meet everyone and show you

5) Your personal Fashion inspirations?

I’m generally inspired by things that are on the fringe of what’s currently “in style.” Crazy and fun colors are basically a must. Comfort also has a huge pull in what drives my fashion choices, the trick is in pieces that walk the line between throw-it-on-and-go and super-put-together.

6) 3 things if stranded on an island.

Besides a copious amount of snacks?

               Our favorite tee.

               And most definitely some wine.

7) What is your favorite thing about your brand?

I like to say that we are “uber inspired by originality.” A lot of my designs revolve around creating art that is super wearable. To me, art is too dynamic to live only on a wall.

My goal has always been to create pieces of apparel and accessories that really capture a fun and even loud side of style. Through this design process, I’ve found that other people felt the same way, like the designs I was creating resonated with them and really captured their personal style. I’m so enthusiastic to see that kind of authentic growth.
