After taking some time off after the passing of my beautiful and creative Momma, I’ve finally got the spark back to do our fashion camp! My mom was such a brilliant artist and fashionista in her own right and I want to dedicate this fashion camp to her. She has tons and tons of creative materials that we’ll be using, and my hope is that every camper gets to go home with a little piece of my mother’s creative spirit, on top of their little creative genius minds!

It’s hard to believe, but Fashion Denver was founded 15 years ago. You can read the history of our beginnings by clickity clicking on this link. Last year, my amazingly beautiful mother Vicki Shigley, began chemo for a … Read more!
Curves of Life Brunch and Fashion Show Review

Over the past few years couture connoisseurs have watched as the fashion world has opened up to not only welcome, but celebrate, people in all of their differences. I remember being amazed as Winnie Harlow took on the notoriously non-diverse Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, skin aglow despite her Vitiligo, and Tess Holliday gracing a Cosmopolitan cover, bravely facing backlash to assert that all sizes can be beautiful. These women made history in fighting absurd beauty standards, blazing a path that, yes, true beauty can be found in all of our unique attributes.
On Sunday June 30, fashion was similarly used to empower young women afflicted with Scoliosis, or a curvature of the spine. That vital objective is why I feel blessed to have attended and helped out with the Curves of Life Fashion Show for the Curvy Girls program. For those of you who don’t know this program, Curvy Girls is an international Scoliosis support group that aims to raise awareness of Scoliosis while also providing support to sufferers in showing that they are not alone. As Curvy Girls is aimed at teenagers with Scoliosis, the Curves

June marks the anniversary of the Stonewall riots, the moment in time that sparked modern gay rights as we know it. And on Wednesday, June 5th we celebrate everything that’s become right in the world ever since.
No matter how you identify, we’re inviting all humans (and unicorn humans) to come dance for our first-ever evening experience at DUSK.🌙
