March 7th: The Paper Fashion Show

The Art Director’s Club of Denver (ADCD) 10th-Annual Paper Fashion Show
Friday, March 7, 2014 6:00 p.m.
Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.

Brandi Shigley Fashion Denver is a proud sponsor of the Paper Fashion Show presented by the ADCD. Fashion Denver founder, Brandi Shigley, and Justice Kwesi Karteng of the JTA Group and Colorado Fashion Week are two of the big names behind this years judging panel. This is not the first time the powerful duo has worked together, as they have worked side by side in various other large-scale events.

The Paper Fashion Show is all too fitting for the creative mind that is Brandi Shigley. Brandi made her first paper purse at just 9 years old. But not only did she make a paper purse; she also made a paper license to go into a paper wallet, and then the wallet would go into her paper purse.

The Paper Fashion Show is the largest such event in the world and Fashion Denver is proud to stand by other creative individuals in such a unique event! Tickets start at $40 and can be purchased at http://www.adcd.com/paper-fashion-show. The nonprofit event held by ADCD has raised … Read more!

A letter from me…

Hello! It’s me, Brandi Sue Shigley, founder of Fashion Denver!

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting as we go into the 10th year of Fashion Denver. We’ve learned so much and have gotten to see so many fashion businesses grow. We went from only doing consulting and fashion markets and shows to doing all of that on top of having a boutique. And most recently (in the past 2 years) have gone back to simply consulting, fashion markets, and fashion show production.

When I think about all of the components of Fashion Denver, I am grateful for being able to do one of my most favorite things… SPEAKING and sharing my experience as an entrepreneur and being able to guide, provide, and inspire others to start up businesses. One of my personal goals is to take this passion of sharing and going out on the road to inspire others outside of our beautiful state of Colorado and… drumroll…

I am excited to say that this goal is now becoming a reality! My co-inspirer Sahar Pazirandeh and I will hitting the road this May to take our WordLove tour out to the west coast. Read about how my friendship with … Read more!
