Since the inception of Daybreaker here in Denver and Boulder, I have been obsessed with this morning monthly ritual of getting my day started through dance and yoga. I fell in love with  this event and the two women who run it (Summer and Rachel) and have become part of the Daybreaker family greeting people with hugs. It’s pretty much the most rewarding tasks ever given!

I have watched the sunrise while dancing alongside amazing beautiful people, dressed in some kind of fun getup (every Daybreaker has a theme!) Then…. I’m at work by 9:30am and my day continues to float on this magical level that seems to carry on for the rest of the week!

Flash forward to March 22nd!!

What an absolute HONOR it is to be asked to emcee the next Daybreaker with one of my soul … Read more!

Fashion Denver’s fashion camps are designed to unleash the creativity for kids interested in the fashion world. With special guests from the Colorado fashion community to hands on activities in designing accessories and an outfit, our campers end the day with a walk down the runway in their design that they created.

This one day camp includes the following:

Kindness coordination activity: We have a special guest come in and do a “getting to know you activity” as an icebreaker for the campers to get to make new friends, share goals and fears, and most importantly, understand that fashion, beauty and style is from within and that each of them are beautiful human beings.

Fashion sketching / brainstorming / drawing: Whether we work with a fashion sketch professional, or provide a blank template to begin their creative process on what the camper will design, we work with them to create a vision for what they want to design and create.

Sue Miller Day of Caring Photos

The Sue Miller Day of Caring event and fashion show was absolutely exquisite! With a beautiful silent auction featuring everything from trips to sports memorabilia, to a delicious dinner, to the presentation of the fashion show featuring breast cancer survivors, there was so much for the eyes to see and the heart to grow. The first part of the fashion show featured fashions from Macy’s and the 2nd half featured fashions from Denver’s own Brooks Luby. All photos by Nathan Leach-Proffer
