Happy New Year! Our 2012 in review!

Wowzers! Happy 2013 Fashion Denver readers! It’s almost officially been 1 year since we’ve decided to close the shop and focus on helping designers and other small businesses grow their passions. Closing down the shop allowed us to work on many fun projects in 2012. A year in review:

Co-Produced FROCK OUT 2012 with Fresh City Life at the Denver Public Library with Chris Loffelmacher. Designers competed for cash and prizes.

Helped to produce and host  2 Frock Shop Sales at our Fashion Denver headquarters.

Managed the fashion pavilion at the Denver County Fair.

Held 2 Fashion Denver fashion markets at the Grant-Humphreys mansion (spring & holiday)

Promotionally sponsored Colorado Fashion Week

Promotionally sponsored FuseDenver’s market

We are excited do dive into a new year with new fashion adventures! Stay tuned!!!

FROST arrives tomorrow! Maybe we’ll have frost on the ground, but the FROST I speak of is our holiday fashion market! This market will celebrate 8 years of Fashion Denver and will feature 30 designers in the historic Grant-Humphreys mansion. With free admission to the public, there is no reason not to attend Fashion Denver’s Frost Holiday Market.

“This fashion market will be celebrating 8 years of Fashion Denver. It has been such an exciting journey and my heart is filled with joy to see the fashion community continue to grow in Colorado,” says founder Brandi Shigley.

Spend the day shopping through local designers both on the main floor and downstairs, watching fashion shows and meeting the brains behind the creative businesses. This is the perfect opportunity for purchasing gifts for your fashionable loved ones.

Before I started Fashion Denver in 2004, I was a handbag designer. I began my little business, b.shigley designs in 1999 and after a a couple years  of making bags, I was selling in boutiques in London, Paris, New York, Chicago, Denver, and San Diego. I semi-retired from making bags to start Fashion Denver and to help dreamers become doers. Now, here we are 13 years after I started my bag business, and I’m making bags again! I don’t have big plans to expand like the way my handbag business had once been, but instead I am focussing on custom designed and one of a kind bags.

With the holidays right around the corner, now is the perfect time to order a custom designed bag for the women or men in your life! Yes, I make Man Bags!

Holiday Fashion Market at the The Grant-Humphreys Mansion

10am-6pm

Due to the overwhelming response of designers who want to be a part of the holiday fashion market on December 16th, we’ve opened up the downstairs for a few more vendors. Deadline for this “Last Minute Application” is Monday, December 10th.

Each space comes with a chair at no additional charge.
$10.00 extra for a banquet size table.

Please note, booth spaces will be the same size on both floors. (approximately 8×8)

The holiday season really is just right around the corner! And as you know, we team up with the Grant-Humphreys mansion to do our seasonal fashion markets. Set in this pristine, historical mansion, we love celebrating the holidays here.

Imagine a mansion full of local fashion with fashion shows coming down the grand staircase.

Red Ball is a hip and cutting-edge runway experience to raise awareness for World AIDS Day and to support Denver Colorado AIDS Project.

The event is an ultra-chic signature event of Denver Colorado AIDS Project that blends high-end fashion from a number of local designers, innovative and outrageous hairstyles from over a dozen local salons and exquisite make up artistry to produce an evening of style and flair unlike any other.

A fiery cocktail reception, amazing entertainers, a substantial and compelling silent auction and special guests make this the event to see and be-seen in Denver.

Funds raised at Red Ball support services provided by Denver Colorado AIDS Project and its mission to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS and provide for those affected by the disease.
