Fashion Denver First Friday: Holiday Installment with YELP!

The holidays have arrived and the countdown has started towards carolers, warm nights near the fireplace, parties and the spirit of receiving and giving! With enough merriment to make the elves jealous, what better way is there to kick off this celebration with our local designers and YELP, than to come partake in the festivities during Fashion Denver’s First Friday, Thursday, December 1st from 6PM-9PM.

The spirit of giving and holiday cheer will be making its debut throughout the evening as guests will have the opportunity to peruse the racks of the showroom and discover unique gifts while sipping warm spiced cider amidst the merry tunes of the in house DJ JD, City O’ City’s music conductor!

The showroom features items from over 20 different fashion designers, all of who bring in their own flair and expertise to fit almost any style and occasion. Gift shopping and choosing that perfect outfit for holiday parties will be a cool breeze with cocktail dresses, purses and jewelry available from various designers.

A trip to Houston

I just got back from a fun trip to Houston, TX where I was visiting family, hanging out with my favorite cousins, and eating… ALOT! We were staying in a suburb of Houston about an hour South to be exact. In all of the summers that I’ve come to Houston to visit family, I have never had a city shopping adventure. Now that I’m an adult and have Fashion Denver, I love to go to cities and see what others are doing to support their local designers.

With a few recommendations to go to the Montrose area of Houston, my family headed out for an afternoon lunch and shopping adventure.  I used YELP to help us find a delicious little restaurant and we ended up at the Hobbit Cafe, dedicated to the Lord of the Rings movies, of which, surprisingly, I’ve never seen. But our lunch was delicious and HUGE! Seriously, I don’t know how 1 person can eat a sandwich as big as the one that was served to me!
