It’s been wonderful to be part of Red Ball for so many years and this year’s Red Ball is going to be off the richter scale! Designers have been chosen, entertainment and details are being finalized and tickets are now available!

Red Ball is a hip and cutting-edge runway experience to raise awareness for World AIDS Day and to support services provided by Denver Colorado AIDS Project.The event is an ultra-chic signature event of Denver Colorado AIDS Project that blends high-end fashion from a number of local designers, innovative and outrageous hairstyles from over a dozen local salons, and exquisite make up artistry to produce an evening of style and flair unlike any other.

Hallows Fashion Show Brings out the Ghouls, hosted by Johnson & Wales University’s Catwalk Club

 WHAT:
Johnson & Wales University’s Fashion Merchandising program and the Catwalk fashion student club hosts The Hallows, a fall fashion show debuting local boutiques on October 28. The student-only produced fashion show features fall/winter looks from Inpsyre Boutique, Common Threads, Beckon Organic Yoga Clothing and Lawrence and Larimer. 

A portion of the event proceeds and silent auction benefit Clothes to Kids Denver, a nonprofit organization that provides free clothing to preschool-12th grade student from low-income or in-crises families.

General admission tickets are $3 before the show, $5 at the door. 

VIP tickets are $15 before the show, $20 at the door and includes front row seating, swag bag and entrance to the after party. After party features a silent auction, raffle, signature mocktails and heavy hor d’oeuvres.

Denver Halloween commences  as you enter through the mouth of a 25’ skull and explore a cursed mausoleum ablaze with lights and crawling with the living dead.  Strongmen showcasing feats of strength, the Hall of Insane Clowns, the Damned City, a hanging crow’s cage, giant LED-lit swings, pyromaniac contortionists dangling from the rafters, purple lightning, a bodiless table, ghosts, illusions, shenanigans and whatever your imagination conjures into being.

From the funny, the crazy, the crafty, the scantily clad, the horrific…the guests’   movie-level costumes are entertainment in their own right for this Halloween in Denver.

After Elle Powell did such an amazing job at our fashion camp, we knew pretty quickly that we wanted to have her back to teach an adult fashion sketching class!

The following will be covered in this 3 hour workshop…

  • Figure drawing of men and women, including hands, feet, face, and hair
  • Different fashion poses
  • Portraying different fabrics and silhouettes (drapery, pleats, knits, furs, satins, mesh, etc.)
  • Shading using color or graphite

Materials to use (start with basic paper, pencil and eraser, then adding pen/colored pencil/watercolor). Digital options can also be taught.
