Ily | Iley

Last Tuesday we got the chance to visit Ily | Iley boutique and IMG_6218I fell head over heels in love. Not only was the space incredible, but all of the merchandise they carry is unique and unlike the rest of the boutiques in Denver. They are also located in one of the best neighborhoods in Denver, Highlands. You open the door to the store, and it feels like you just stepped into a boutique in Soho, NYC, you suddenly forget that you’re in Colorado. They carry a variety of merchandise that ranges from new to vintage. Their merchandise also ranges in terms of clothing to house wear items. They feature small artists and designers in their shop, as well as well-known designers such as Jonathan Adler.

Store owners Bailey Lemak and Ilyse Mark were briefly introducedIMG_6231 to one another at a party in Miami and immediately hit it off. They both had unique and outgoing styles, and personalities to boot. Unfortunately, the hustle and bustle of NYC, where they were both residing, did not allow them the time to nurture a budding friendship. However, several years later, they were reunited in the young and upcoming city of Denver. Both with … Read more!

Denver Boutique Tour

Last Thursday Brandi and I were out and about running errands. While we were out,  we got the chance to visit both Class Act Collective boutique and Whorl shop, to pick up items for our spring market photo-shoot. It was a lot of fun meeting both of the owners and getting to see the different collection of boutiques Denver provides.

At Class Act Collective we were greeted with a warm welcome by Alexis, the owner. She gave us a tour of her space image2and welcomed us in with open arms. She carries an eclectic variety of merchandise. It ranges from black leather leggings to elegant lacy dresses. She has fun jewelry and accessories suc h as hats and purses. She also carries menswear which is hip and spunky. Even the outside of her boutique screams exciting. Alexis herself has a very loud image1and electrifying personality and it shows in her boutique. Brandi even got to walk away with a super cute baby blue Chanel style patch purse. We had a lot of fun looking around Class Act Collective, if you are looking for the perfect outfit at an affordable price, Class Act is definitely the place to go!

Grand opening of STRITCH

Denver is going to be welcoming a new boutique, Stritch. The shop will focus on highlighting local designers, as well as global brands. The celebration will begin on Friday, Nov. 21 at 3326 Tejon St. in LoHi. Although the store will be open all day, starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m., the event will have a red carpet, champagne, raffle, and more.

Stritch“I am so excited to open a store and contribute to the growing Denver fashion community,” said Megan Timlin, founder and owner of Stritch.

This is no ordinary retail opening. Stritch is a fashion experience. Their sales staff is trained on every brand we sell, providing customers with extensive product knowledge and customized suggestions. Not only do they carry local designers, but the store has curated a selection of brands from L.A., New York, London and Copenhagen.

“I think to a lot of customers this diversity will have a particular appeal,” said Timlin. “In addition, we are so excited to be a part of the growth of the LoHi area, as our boutique is positioned in a really fantastic location.”

Part of the inspiration for this boutique is Timlin’s love of the local Denver … Read more!

The Great Hallmark Makeover: HMK!

I have many memories of the Hallmark store in my local at the Aurora Mall. I would save up my allowance to buy a card for my BFF in California or buy cat holiday ornaments for our family tree. Hallmark was always our go-to gift stop. I remember the light fragrant smell of potpouri, and the friendly middle aged women that would greet me and point me in the right direction of what my gift giving sensibilities felt like seeking out.  I could spend hours in there.

Flash forward to 25 years later and the Hallmark store that I remember has transformed into the beautiful HMK! I recently visited the HMK store in Cherry Creek North at 2940 E 2nd Ave. Not knowing what to expect of the new store, I walked in and my jaw dropped and my eyes got big. There was so much to look at and so much of it was fashion related!  HMK Cherry Creek Upon walking into HMK, I was greeted by a friendly employee who immediately offered me a delicious warm cookie. I asked for a tour of the store and she took me to every nook and cranny telling me about the products and customization … Read more!
