GlamBomb 4 took place this past Wednesday night, April 16. An event not to be missed, Glambomb took place at a stunning mansion in the highlands with breathtaking views of downtown Denver. The home won the Mayor’s Design Award in 2011. Glambomb is a series of events that showcases jewelry designers from around the country to benefit charity. This season’s event benefited First Descents, a Denver nonprofit organization that sends young adult cancer survivors to outdoor camps for a trip of a lifetime.
The event displayed 21 jewelry designers, some local to Colorado and others from around the county. Many of the designers were in attendance, allowing customers to talk to the designer and learn about the inspiration for the piece. All of the jewelry was one of a kind and very unique.
The sold out event was wildly successful and raised enough money to send at least 3 campers on a trip.… Read more!
The second night of Denver Fashion Weekend was the Fashion Association Denver’s Spring into Style event for First Friday. First Friday takes place the first friday of every month in various art galleries, museums and studios around the Denver area. For the month of April, the Fashion Association Denver hosted Spring into Style, which took place at the new Fashion Design Center in Denver. Sponsored by Fashion Denver, the Fashion Design Center of Denver and the Fashion Arts fund, the event had a unique concept.
Each designer was allowed to bring one model dressed in their designs (or wear their own designs themselves.) Each designer had a chance to talk about their unique design and mingle with the rest of the Denver fashion industry. The Denver Fashion Truck and Judith and Joe, two mobile boutiques also joined the fun and allowed guests a chance to browse their new merchandise.
This past weekend 303 Magazine hosted Denver Fashion Weekend. On Thursday April 3, the event kicked off with a street style fashion show. The multilevel venue, near city hall was perfect for a fashion show.
The show highlighted three DFW’s sponsors and allowed them to show off their Spring/Summer 2014 collections . Schomp Mini, associated with BMW’s Mini Cooper, went first showing a collection of graphic T’s and weekender duffel bags. Burton, a snowboard company, displayed their activewear collection ranging from shorts, T shirts and hoodies to backpacks and hats. Last but not least, Ducati, a motorcycle brand, wrapped it up by showing their collection of jackets and T shirts highlighting their brand name.
The event kicked off Denver Fashion Weekend well, and started the buzz for the events to come.… Read more!
This past Tuesday evening, I stopped by Porch Light Real Estate Group on S. University for a collective trunk show featuring Live Worldly, Hailee Grace, and Feline Swimwear. This uber chic office was transformed into a mini boutique and I was able to get a sample of these 3 companies, all female owned and operated. It was pretty much a “Girl Power” kind of evening with wine and snacks.
Of course, since we are sponsored by Luna Bars, I brought over the latest and tastiest of protein bars making sure that the girls took boxes home for when they may get a little hangry (hungry-angry… oh wait.. is that just me?).
I tried on 3 different swimsuits and finally settled on mix and match top, florescent green, harkening back to my 7th and 8th grade years, but now, a little sassier. I felt like a teenager and a slumber party having so much fun gabbing with the girls and running around in my swimsuit.
Live Worldly operates online bringing the latest of fashions that are giving back to the community. They brought a variety of athletic gear from yoga pants, running jackets, to a cute selection of … Read more!
