Required Attire presents DESTROY and REBUILD, an assortment of clothing, installation art, and visual interpretations.

On Thursday, August 21st 2014, Required Attire will be hosting an event to mark the release of their Destroy and Rebuild collection. This will not only include hats, shorts, t-shirts, and hoodies for purchase but will also feature art exhibits to go along with each piece.

Come down to Space Gallery on Santa Fe to witness the premiere event and enjoy some complimentary drinks and refreshments. The doors open at 7 pm with the big unveil commencing at 8. Be sure not to miss this one time event that is a unique blend of the fashion and art worlds.

Required Attire was founded in 2008 by three young men who used fashion as an avenue of personal expression. This three-headed conglomerate includes: Reillor Davis, a 26-year-old FIDM graduate, Gabe Gonzalez, a 23-year-old graphic design major, and Emmanuelle Davis, a 23-year-old musician. To celebrate the launch of its two newest undergraduate programs, the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial Photography and the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design, Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) will host an event on campus, Saturday, August 23 2014, from noon to 10 p.m. The event, titled Fashion in Focus, will include photography and styling workshops, a social mixer and a fashion show.Workshops The event will feature two workshop sessions. The first session will run from noon to 2 p.m. Guests can participate in the commercial photography workshop and explore Fashion Editorial: Working with Models in Natural Light and Fashion, or select a fashion design workshop with celebrity fashion stylist and image consultant, Dean Hall. During the afternoon workshop all attendees will convene for Fashion in the Studio: Lighting and Conceptual Interpretations. This high-energy workshop will cover makeup and styling and include a fashion photo shoot. The price of the workshop includes a press pass for commercial photography workshop participants or a general admission ticket to the fashion show for fashion design workshop attendees. Revolver is the first solo business venture for owner and stylist Kitty Vincent.  Kitty is a native to Denver, and has been active in both its fashion and music communities for close to a decade and a half.  She started out 14 years ago working in record stores like the historic Wax Trax, and playing in bands, the most notable of which was Le Divorce from 2008-2012.  She became a hair stylist in 2002 and spent the first 7 years of her career working for The Parlour, an extremely successful Denver salon chain.  After a brief partnership at 3 Little Birds Salon in 2012-13, Kitty left to open her own business.

Alien Life Fashion Show

On May 24th, Knew Conscious and Cervantes Masterpiece will present the 2nd annual fashion show and concert, “Alien Life: A Second Coming.”

The show will feature several local designers, who were inspired by Denver digital artist Kurt Redeker. Below are a few pieces of his art that inspired the designers. 1912482_631345500269232_993550026_n 1925353_630938963643219_1221815679_n

The designers include  Talia Sandoval of Meant Clothing, Bailey Lemak, Drea Pazols aka Lux Muse, and Caroline Smith of Janie G. Couture.

Talia Sandoval founded MEANt clothing in 2009, where she designs handmade clothing in Denver, CO. She is inspired by the moving form and is excited to be featured at Alien Life for the second year in a row! Here designs can be found here: http://meantclothing.com/

Bailey Lemak moved to Denver after living in Dallas where she worked as a personal stylist. She works on her on clothing line, Poppy Downs, and has an ecclectic, avant-garde style. This is Bailey’s first year showing at Alien Life.

Kurt Redeker is a digital artist based in Denver, Colorado. Redeker is a student of geometric patternmaking, taking cues from Islamic, Mayan and Aztec art and imagery. His art is heavily influenced by sacred geometry, the ancient study of the fundamental patterns of life, the oldest math known to man.
