Tease Studio celebrates 5 years and puts fun back into fitness
Tease-Studio, now located at 1070 Bannock Street in the heart of the Golden Triangle, is holding an open house Friday, August 3rd, 2012 from 4pm-7pm to celebrate their new location and to give everyone a sample of different classes offered by the studio so that everyone can get a taste of Tease and the Denver Cupcake truck.
“I definitely made my assumptions about pole fitness and Tease Studio and all of those assumptions immediately went away when I took my first class. The instructors and fellow students made me feel welcome and really put the fun back into my boring exercise routine,” says Amy Rosenberg, a regular at Tease.
Tease Studio is for everyone from students, doctors, lawyers, to mothers that offers fitness with a social scene. Tease Studio offers classes that put a fun, exciting twist on exercise. ATHENA PROJECT ANNOUNCES A DESIGN COMPETITION
for fashion designers, costume designers, and students
Deadline for Submissions is August 10, 2012
Competition Details: Have you ever wanted to design the costumes for a play? Wanted the opportunity to bring an original script to life with your vision to costume the characters for the director, producer and playwright? Here is your chance!
Athena Project is seeking initial fashion designs inspired by the message: “VOICES of WOMEN ARTISTS.” Designs can be clothing or accessory items and sketches on 8.5 x 11 paper are all that’s required by August 10, 2012.
Out of the initial sketch submissions, six artists will be selected as semi-finalists. These six will be interviewed and asked to bring in at least 3 samples of a finished design product along with their portfolio at that time.
One designer will be selected as the winner, and will be given both a mentorship and studio space to develop their Athena design for a special showcase at Colorado Fashion Week, Fall of 2012. Last Sunday at the Grant-Humphrey’s mansion was non-stop activity. Fashion Denver, along with Tease- Studio and Tootsie’s the Nail Shoppe, fused fashion, fitness and beauty into Bounce! ; The summer-market event. The mansion was adorned with large portrait paintings, antique details in the light fixtures and furniture and large paisley rugs. Accent mirrors, french doors and the huge fireplace gave the venue a warm, welcoming feeling.
Upon arriving at the event, it would be hard not to notice the group fitness class on the front lawn in the midst of its workout provided by Fitness in the City. At the entrance, visitors were invited to purchase food from the Kuecho and Basic Kneads food trucks offering many food deals. On the porch was a display of appealing bicycles provided by The Underground Bike Shop also offering quick bike adjustments and other services. The shiny chrome, tassels, banana seats, and vintage details automatically stood out and brought about many observers.
