DFW Fall 2016

The bi-annual event will once again highlight the best in fashion, design and beauty with three nights of incredible style on Nov. 10, 12 and 13 at City Hall Amphitheater, 1144 Broadway, Denver, Colorado. With 17 fashion designers and brands and 21 salons participating, 303 Magazine’s Denver Fashion Week(end) presented by Schomp Automotive is going to be bigger and better than ever.

As a member of the media, we would like to extend an invitation for you and a photographer to attend either Saturday, Nov. 12 for our local and national fashion or on Sunday, Nov. 13 for the 10 Year Anniversary of the legendary Hair Show featuring over 20 salons. Spots for Thursday, Nov. 10 are also available.

Johnson & Wales University’s Fashion Merchandising program and the Catwalk fashion student club hosts The Hallows, a fall fashion show debuting local boutiques on October 28. The student-only produced fashion show features fall/winter looks from Inpsyre BoutiqueCommon ThreadsBeckon Organic Yoga Clothing and Lawrence and Larimer

A portion of the event proceeds and silent auction benefit Clothes to Kids Denver, a nonprofit organization that provides free clothing to preschool-12th grade student from low-income or in-crises families.

General admission tickets are $3 before the show, $5 at the door.

Couture for Confidence adds teen designer event

Couture for Confidence adds teen designer event

Bella BoutiqueBella Boutique, a Denver based non-profit that provides free prom gowns to teens in financial need is hosting Couture for Confidence on Saturday October 8th, 2016.  This event is a fundraising fashion show that features “ugly” prom dresses that are refashioned by Denver area designers.  These updated designs are featured in a fashion show and auctioned off during our live auction. 

Bella Boutique is excited to add a Teen Designer Competition to this year’s Couture for Confidence fundraising fashion show.  Teen designers will create designs from “ugly” prom gowns.  The teen designers will meet with our judges for an interview about how they created their designers.  The judges including Denver fashion industry professionals that will view the gown on a model as well as off the model to view the construction of the design.  During the event, these designs will be auctioned off during our silent auction.  The winners of the competition will be chosen both from judge’s scores and how the design is bid on in our silent auction.  A winner will be announced at the end of the night.  Come out and support Denver’s future designers.

Noir Fashion Show: September 28th

 

D’LOLA COUTURE LAUNCHES Noir FASHION SHOW TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE COLORADO MELANOMA FOUNDATION

D’Lola Couture will launch a fashion show benefiting the Colorado Melanoma Foundation titled “Noir” on Wednesday, September 28th at Baldoria on The Water in Lakewood, CO from 7pm-9:30pm.

Noir is an intimate couture fashion show highlighting local bridal designer Deedee Vicory of D’Lola Couture. Deedee will showcase day, evening and bridal wear. Very special guest, Gino Velardi, will also premier his evening wear line. Both designers are in the theme of black for this event which supports the Colorado Melanoma Foundation.

While many types of cancer are being caught earlier and treated, melanoma numbers have continued to rise sharply over the last 30 years. Please join us in our fight against this deadly disease. By raising awareness we can change the statistics.

Proceeds from this event will go to the Colorado Melanoma Foundation who will award a melanoma research grant in honor of D’Lola designer Deedee Vicory’s late husband, Justin Vicory, who succumbed to his battle with melanoma at the young age of 35 on September 29, 2014.

Fashion and Live Music Return to the Runway in
Denver at Fierce in the City 2

Denver, CO – The second Fierce in the City event, featuring live music performances interactively with fashion runway shows, creating a uniquely fierce experience, will be held on Sunday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m. at VIEWHOUSE Centennial on 7101 South Clinton Street and will benefit GIRLS, INC.  It is being produced by Denver-based Fashion Designer, Salwa Owens, who will be showing her new Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear and Evening Wear collections at the event. Guest designers invited to have their own unique runway shows include jewelry designer Andrea Li, Zofia Wosinska of ÉSTAINE, and leather and fur designer Andreas Tsagas.  The event will be emceed by Kristin Battenfield, Denver philanthropist, CEO and founder of KBat Communications.

Musical performers will include Vincent Powell, Season 13 top 20 finalist from American Idol 2013; Season 11 American Idol finalist Devan Blake Jones; Denver violinist Mia Herlinger; pop artist Dorian Phaero and choreographer and dancer Karen Carlson.
