Alien Life Fashion Show

On May 24th, Knew Conscious and Cervantes Masterpiece will present the 2nd annual fashion show and concert, “Alien Life: A Second Coming.”

The show will feature several local designers, who were inspired by Denver digital artist Kurt Redeker. Below are a few pieces of his art that inspired the designers. 1912482_631345500269232_993550026_n 1925353_630938963643219_1221815679_n

The designers include  Talia Sandoval of Meant Clothing, Bailey Lemak, Drea Pazols aka Lux Muse, and Caroline Smith of Janie G. Couture.

Talia Sandoval founded MEANt clothing in 2009, where she designs handmade clothing in Denver, CO. She is inspired by the moving form and is excited to be featured at Alien Life for the second year in a row! Here designs can be found here: http://meantclothing.com/

Bailey Lemak moved to Denver after living in Dallas where she worked as a personal stylist. She works on her on clothing line, Poppy Downs, and has an ecclectic, avant-garde style. This is Bailey’s first year showing at Alien Life.

Lux Muse, is from Los Angeles and is now based in Denver. She is  inspired by traveling and textures.  She designs for a girl who seeks adventure and loves herself. Check out her works here: http://luxmuse.bigcartel.com/

FASHION SHOW FOR FLOOD RELIEF

It’s Like, But Not Productions is pleased to announce the “Fashion Show for Flood Relief” to help benefit The Long Term Recovery Fund under the fiscal sponsorship of the United Way of Larimer County.

This formal event will take place on Saturday, May 24 at 7:30pm at:
The Majestic Gathering Place
315 East 4th Street
Loveland, CO 80537

Tickets are $45.00 and include a selection of wine, beer or other refreshments, desserts, fashion show, live entertainment and a silent auction.

Designers featured in the fashion show are from Denver, Los Angeles and Boston. They include: Darb Clothing, Elizabeth Kay, Moral Fabrix and Tennille Ilea.

Models featured are from Denver north to Wyoming.

Entertainers include Singer Gina Schuh-Turner and Pianist/Composer Troy Schuh, Meghan Larson & Michelle Bernier dancing to the music of Adjoa Skinner and Singer-Songwriter Branden Sipes. Additional music from Jason Vigil.

The silent auction will feature items from the designers as well as:

Brooks LTD Featured in Breast Cancer Survivor Fashion Show 

March 5, 2014, Denver Colorado, Brooks LTD a local fashion designer will be featured in the Sue Miller Day of Caring’ s An Evening of Caring Survivor Fashion Show with eleven of thirty looks. Brooks Luby, owner of Brooks LTD, is a 24-year breast cancer survivor and a longtime breast cancer advocate.

Brooks has been a visionary for the Denver fashion industry since the late 1970s; her artistic details, couture finishes, and ability to manipulate fabric all contribute to the strength in her collection. She will highlight looks from her spring collection, including luxurious fabrics, interesting combinations of texture and color, and of course, impeccable fit. There is a unique, happy, and whimsical feel in all of her garments.

Brooks believes that the process of creating a gown can transform an individual. “ I am honored to be a part of An Evening of Caring, and present my spring collection, which was based around the emotions coming through breast cancer,” Brooks said.  “This issue is very close to my heart, and to provide survivors with beautiful gala gowns to wear for this show means a lot to me.”
