Woo hooo! Less than a week until our Fashion Camp for kids ages 7-11! This will be an action packed day where kids will get a glimpse into the world of fashion with hands on activities throughout the day…
- Designer Talk! Learn about what it takes to be a fashion designer from one of Denver’s couture designers Michael Sullivan of Haus of Von Leeche & Sullivan!
- Design an outfit! Campers will design an outfit for their favorite doll or a doll provided on loan from the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys . We’ll provide the fabric and materials to make the outfit and accessories. No sewing required and outfits can be taken home!
- Styling! Learn about what it takes to be a fashion stylist with a Dorian Phaero of Phaero Creative! Dorian will work alongside our campers as campers style their fellow camper from head to toe! Campers and will select from clothes that will be on loan from Back on the Rack Children’s Consignment Boutique.
A BIG GIGANTIC THANK YOU TO:
- Fashion Photoshoot! Once their partner is styled from head to toe, from fashions from Back on the Rack, campers will get to have a photoshoot with Denver fashion photographer Dorian Phaero. Photos will be available online to use and at no extra cost.
- Make a Paper Purse! Fashion Denver founder Brandi Shigley got her start making paper purses in 3rd grade. She later went on to start a handbag company called B.Shigley Designs. Shigley will get crafty with the campers making paper purses with paper wallets and paper money to go into the paper purse, taking it all back to her roots!
Fashion Camp will be held at the Fashion Denver HQ. Campers are asked to bring their own lunch and any snacks / drinks for the day. All materials for the day’s events will be provided by Fashion Denver and partners involved.
