Hello Fashion Denver family and friends! Thank you so much for your continued support over the past 15 years! I wanted to give you all a quick update on what’s happening here in the world of Fashion Denver. If you’re new to Fashion Denver, HELLO!! Over the past 15 years, Fashion Denver has served as a consultancy in the fashion world as well as having had a retail space (2007-2011)and producing countless fashion markets and fashion shows.  That’s the Fashion Denver history in a very small nutshell 🙂

Onward…

5 years ago, my mom Vicki, was diagnosed with a rare type of sarcoma cancer called Leiomiosarcoma. She has outlived her life expectancy and is continuing to be an amazing warrior! She has recently started  chemo.

Flashback to a year ago….

My Grandma (my mom’s mom), had just turned 90 and a few months into being 90, her health began to decline.  It was heartbreaking yet beautiful to be with my Grandma as she was nearing the end of her life. We truly had a special bond.

My sweet Grandmother, Victoria. How I love you and how I will always cherish our beautiful relationship. I am so grateful to be blessed with you as my Grandmother. My Mom, Aunt Diane, and I took care of Grandma until she passed away. Truly, my Mom and Aunt did most of the caregiving, but I was there alongside learning.

My Mom and Aunt told me, “Brandi, pay attention to all of this. Because you will need to know these things.” It was such a reality check for me. Seeing Grandma’s life come to an end and experiencing those past few months with her while moving forward as my Mom goes through cancer. It was heavy.

Now, it is time for me to be a caregiver for my Mom as she gets through this chemo. She is such a strong and beautiful Momma and I am truly honored to be her daughter. Thank you all for the love, support and prayers that you’ve given us!! You got this Momma!

The past year, I see that it’s okay not to be out and about and hustling and going to all the events and dreaming and doing and doing and dreaming. I just need to be present with my family with a few fashion events sprinkled in between 🙂 After all, our fashion world here in Denver is truly thriving and it’s hard to stay away too long…

Even in the midst of the crazy, heavy, beautiful life, you still find fashion around every corner!!

So what’s coming up in the near future? 

• October 13th,  I’m producing a clothing drive and party to benefit Second Chance Center!
• I’ll be emceeing Gino Velardi’s fashion show that evening on October 13th!
• A Holiday Fashion Camp for kiddos between the ages of 5-11 (Date and location coming soon)
• Holiday mini market and rolllerskate party with B.Fresh
