Life’s Too Short to Wear Boring Jewelry

GLAM BOMB 3

It’s no secret that I have an obsession with jewelry.  I mean, just look at how I sectioned off a corner of my room to be called the “jewelry corner” and you’ll know.

The Perfect Petal hosted Glam Bomb 3, its third annual jewelry event on October 3 to benefit One of 99.  One of 99 puts together art education outreach programs for local youth through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. 100% of ticket sales went directly to the cause.

The chic soiree was held at 1820 Blake Street; the most gorgeous historic mansion nestled in the middle of the city. I entered through an unpretentious green door tucked in between Vesta Dipping Grill and an Office Space, unsure of what I was walking into.  I walked up a tall staircase, was handed a raffle ticket and entered a world of accessory bliss.

There were striking displays scattered around the stunning home.  Designers had their lines intricately presented at their own distinct location, and whether it was a display on the coffee table in the loft, or amongst pictures on the bedside tables, it was presented beautifully.  It was truly the most unique showroom I have ever attended, and I found myself stumbling upon new displays with each turn I made.

The only thing better than the displays was the jewelry itself. I don’t know of a single person who wouldn’t have found a piece that they “needed to have.” In my case I found multiple pieces I needed to have. But that’s okay because life is too short to wear boring jewelry, right?

The event featured an open bar and the most delicious hors d’oeuvre’s were served.  I sipped, nibbled, mingled and shopped, all while trying to channel my luck into winning one of the awesome raffle prizes. (I’m Irish, but I still never win these things!)

Honestly, this was such a fun event and you will be doing yourself a serious disservice, a very unfashionable disservice, if you do not attend the next Glam Bomb event.  There are so many incredible designers around the United States, all in one central location, and you get to shop in a social setting! I know I’ll be eagerly waiting for their return!

Official sponsors of Glam Bomb 3 were Kentwood City Properties, The Scout Guide – Denver, Occasions Catering, and Matthew Morris Salon and Skincare.
