Come Dream in watercolor with Max Kauffman at Fashion Denver
Denver, CO- Dreams are world where flying isn’t unrealistic, running at high speeds is the daily norm and encountering otherworldly beings seems to be your everyday experience. While many spend their nights cuddled up under their covers creating their own realm, local Denver artist Max Kauffman is wide-awake painting it into reality. Kauffman will be bringing his dreamscapes to the showroom of Fashion Denver on First Friday, November 4th from 5-9PM.
Highly influenced by visual folklore, Kauffman mainly utilizes watercolor, ink and an Italian watercolor named “gouache” to illustrate worlds on paper that are normally only seen in the subconscious. His recent series “Migrations” is a work that mirrors an ethereal point of view of the avian world. Throughout the evening, Kauffman will be debuting new pieces of artwork, his recent series, as well as showcasing other pieces for viewing and purchasing pleasure.
But, for those that are just itching to grasp a touch of his fantasy, fans and art lovers have a chance to enter a drawing for one of Kauffman’s pieces, which will continue until the evening of First Friday at 8:30PM at Fashion Denver.
His exhibitions have been featured in various art publications such as “Lost at E-Minor”, “Juxtapoz” and ”Beautiful/Decay Book: 6”. In addition, Kauffman’s artwork has been commissioned by high profile clients such as “Mountain Dew”, “Nike” and “Arbor” just to name a few.
An expression, elegance and affinity for the world that can only be fabricated by the mind, Kauffman has managed to reference both realism and idealism to create works that can be glimpsed by all during the waking time of day.
Come relish in Kauffman’s visions and delight yourself in a dream world unlike your own during an evening will bring fantasy into reality.
