Well! Summer is here at Fashion Denver and we’ve got so many exciting strategies, events, and fun coming up! I wanted to introduce you to the summer team!

Tory Rust, originally from a small town in North Dakota, has joined Fashion Denver as the Photography and PR Intern. When she is not writing about herself in third person she can be found photographing fashion shoots, coordinating with other creatives, networking, photographing fashion shows and going to school at the University of Denver. Tory specializes in editorial and commercial photographic work and believes that creativity and motivation are the key to a fulfilling life. She is really excited to be part of the Fashion Denver team this summer!

Colorado designer Megan Kaltenbach is proud to release her new jewelry line on Sunday, June 9th at Forest Room 5 (2532 15th St. Denver, CO 80211). The public is welcome to come enjoy Forest Room 5’s outdoor patio, grab a drink with friends, and check out beautiful and unique designs from Megan’s jewelry company, MKaltenbach. This summer affair will take place from 2-6 PM.

In April 2011, Megan launched her jewelry company, MKaltenbach. Her jewelry is inspired by her home state of Colorado and passion for the outdoors, and features agate, amber, turquoise, and other natural stones. Megan selects, designs, and hand makes each of her beautiful statement pieces. MKaltenbach jewelry has been described as earthy and Western, and Megan’s love for her home state is reflected in each piece of her jewelry.

First Class Fashionista presents Denver PAINT THE RUNWAY

DENVER, Colo. — On Saturday, June 8, 2013, First Class Fashionista will present Denver Paint the Runway. An exciting night of fashion and art with special guests from the Denver Art Society and Artreach will raise funds to support local artists and make it possible for at-risk children to attend Camp ArtReach this summer. Doors open at 7pm for general admission at the Denver Art Society, located at 734 Santa Fe Drive. Denver, CO 80204.

Guests who purchase VIP tickets will enjoy a private art viewing featuring local artists starting at 6pm, two complimentary cocktails, front row seating and swag bag.  The event challenges local artists to integrate the use of 3D glasses into their art. Come see what they came up with. The event features 3D reactive installations, paintings, sculptures and photographs. All of which are intended to be viewed with specific glasses available to all who attend. Later in the night a powerhouse of musicians will perform on stage a midst a reactive installation. Even the floors will have a visual illusion. Art ranging from $5 to $1000 will be for sale and participants will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the artist considered “best in show”. A portion of ticket proceeds will be awarded to the winning artist at the end of the night.
