We have had such amazing interns over the course of 2 years since we’ve opened up our showroom! Students from the Art Institute, Metro State, University of Denver and even Colorado State University have been a part of our team and although it’s always a little sad to see them move on, we have appreciated every single one of them!

However, it’s that time again and Fashion Denver is now accepting FALL 2011 internship applications.

Internships begin mid August through early September, depending, are unpaid and for school credit with many portfolio building opportunities and a chance to connect with some amazing people in our creative community.

Internship positions available:

FASHION DENVER ASSISTANTS: This internship encompasses all that goes on at Fashion Denver and every day will bring new experiences. Intern is required to work at Fashion Denver 2-3 days a week. We have 3 positions available.

Experiences include but are not limited to:

– Visual merchandising in the showroom
– On the floor sales
– Fashion show production
– Fashion Event planning and coordinating

Look of the day!! Good afternoon Fashion Denver fans!! The Denver County Fair is only a couple weeks away and what better way to remind you than an ensemble by so whimsy perfect for the fair?! Exciting news for those that are interested in participating in the Denver County Fair at the end of the month! This is a note from the producer Dana Cain…
Dear designers, fashion fans and friends,

Thanks to all of you who’ve signed up to participate in the Fashion Pavilion at the first-ever Denver County Fair! This pavilion is going to ROCK!!!!

We have added our RUNWAY SHOW option to the registration page at www.denvercountyfairbooth.eventbrite.com … Scroll down; it’s near the bottom of the options list. We are offering limited shows – for $200 each. Price includes venue, promotion, large audience, backstage dressing room with hair and make-up teams.  You provide your own models.

Runway show available time slots are:
Thursday, July 28 – Grand Opening Night!  6pm, 8pm, 9pm
Saturday, July 30 – 9pm
Sunday, July 31 – 1pm

Events in the Fashion Pavilion include:
– Miss Denver County Fair drag queen competition, sponsored by Outfront magazine
– Littleton Historical Museum Fashion Show: 1860 – 1890
– Hey Lady!   B-52s Tribute Band

Volunteer opportunities with the Denver County Fair

Hello!! I, Brandi Shigley, will be managing the fashion pavilion at the Denver County Fair at the end of this month and am looking for a few volunteers to assist me. Imagine a fun weekend being surrounded by local fashion at the first ever Denver County Fair!!

We would love to have you volunteer for the Denver County Fair!
We are using VolunteerSpot to help us manage the over 400 volunteers we will use for the fair, so please click on the attached link to sign up for one or more of the available positions.
You will:
1.  Enter your e-mail address (it will not be shared with others).
2.  Click on the calendar.
3.  Choose the position(s) that you would like to sign up for during the fair.
