Today’s look of the day! Nostalgia…

With my birthday coming up, and graduating from high school 18 years ago (geeeesh! time flies!!), I was feeling a little nostalgic and created this “look of the day” as a blast from the past.

The So Whimsy sweatshirt makes a statement from the 80’s with Feather earrings made by Skylark 360. I paired it with this So Whimsy tote bag as it’s the perfect tote to fit your favorite book, a bottle of wine, sunblock, and sunglasses.

Fun facts about Skylark 360! Designer Molly Yoder is a Colorado native, attended Metro State (with me!), and was inspired to start her jewelry business after a visit to Murano Italy.

Fun facts about So Whimsy! Designer Julianne Hazelhurst grew up in Grand Junction, is a mother to 2 beautiful daughters, and is also an elementary school teacher.… Read more!

CSU’s Student Fashion Show Fash(n)Fresh + Taryn Slawson & Chasing Rainbows

We’ll be heading up to Fort Collins this evening for the senior fashion show and I’m so excited to see what the designers have come up with. There have been some amazing designers that have come out of Ft. Collins like Taryn Slawson. Taryn currently has a collection called Chasing Rainbows and an accessory line, The Hot Pink Mustache, that she’s created with her sister Megan. The Hot Pink Mustache can be found at Fashion Denver.

Chasing Rainbows was also one of our very first featured designers when we opened our showroom doors back when we were in our tiny little rowhome on Cherokee Row. It’s so fun to see how Taryn’s designs evolve. She designs the kind of dresses that are for the free spirited, colorful woman who knows how to have a good time. One day, when I’m on Conan O’Brien, I will wear a Chasing Rainbows dress 🙂 (It’s a little dream I have).

Here’s one of our favorite Hot Pink Mustache accessories! The Masquerade!
