My trip to NARS & a fantastic contest too!

Today I meandered on over to Nordstroms to check out the book launch of “NARS Makeup your mind: Express Yourself” book and met with the Director of Global Artistry, James Boehmer.  Between 11am and 6pm today, they were doing cosmetic consultations and boy were they busy.

Women were lined up in seats with professional NARS makeup artists sharing tips and techniques, all from the new book.  I loved looking through the book featuring women from all makes and models, shapes and sizes, colors and culture.  The neat thing about this book is that it has a translucent page that shows you exactly where to add the makeup. The first look is a dress from Gabriela Designs, a really nice stretchy dress in some great bold colors! I’ve paired it up with a big chunky blue necklace from Stranded Jewelry. I love the colors and the dress is nice and light, great for the warm weather that is headed our way!

The next look of the day is a bright blue beaded skirt from Sparkle Eyes that I’ve paired with a mini-dress from Gabriela Designs. Yeah, it’s not so mini-dress-y right now, but I loved how the warm natural colors matched with the sky-blue so I tucked it in to give it a bit of a waist. Having that little bit of fabric underneath helps give the … Read more!
