I first met Shanelle Lyn Price at the New Years Eve fashion show that I emceed. She took my short doo and curled it up, adding body and fun to it. We became instant friends. Right before I emceed Artopia, she gave me another cut and added some flair as I grow out my short doo. I’m hooked!
We caught up with Shanelle at her new residency at Henry’s Salon.
When did you discover your passion for cutting hair?
I discovered the stylist in me as a young child actually. I did all my friend’s hair and doll’s hair. I loved fashion and hair and makeup.
Did you have formal education or are you self taught?
I went to Xenon International School of cosmetology in 2001. I graduated and worked for Charlie Price at Planet Laboratories in Cherry Creek where I discovered my true love for hair and high fashion. I am a master colorist and have training in Aveda, Redken and was an educator for Ibella. I continue my education quarterly which is very important to me.
