Local artists represent the Denver community in Semi-Finals competition
RAW: Denver announces the 27 local nominees contending to represent the Denver community in the 5th annual RAWards Semi-Finals competition.
Over the course of a week, the RAW:natural born artists organization hosted an online nomination process for 15,000 independent artists across the globe. The online popular vote and a local judges score narrowed down the top 3 artists in each craft to represent Denver in the Semi-Finals Showcase.
Award categories include:
RAW:Denver Fashion Designer of the Year
RAW:Denver Filmmaker of the Year
RAW:Denver Musician(s) of the Year
RAW:Denver Visual Artist of the Year
RAW:Denver Photographer of the Year
RAW:Denver Hairstylist of the Year
RAW:Denver Makeup Artist of the Year
RAW:Denver Performing Artist of the Year
On December 5th at City Hall located at 1144 Broadway at 7pm, these nominees will be showcased to the public alongside hand-picked local highlights from the season.
Winner will be announced live at the end of the program at 11pm.
The final 9 winners will go on to represent the city in the last and final round of national judging on December 8th 2013.
The national RAWards winners receive big career boosting prizes like distribution, online retail placement, studio time, gallery placement and consultation with industry executives and professionals. Tickets to this year’s local RAWards Semi-Finals event can be purchased for $15 pre-sale online at RAWartists.org/denver Tickets will increase to $17 the week of the event and $20 at the door.
