Relevant Goods 1 Year Celebration
Friday, September 9th from 6 p.m.- 9 p.m.
250 Broadway Denver, Colorado.
Denver’s source for clothing, accessories and gifts, Relevant Goods is on Broadway, in the Baker neighborhood will celebrate their first year in business next Friday. The event is a chance to shop, view the work of a local artist and celebrate a local business’ first year. Natalie Esquivel, owner of Relevant Goods, says “Relevant Goods is built on a balance of texture, ease and sophistication. It celebrates the urban and the earth in style.” The event is complimentary and open to all ages, no RSVP required. During the evening, Relevant Goods will offer small bites, cocktails and drawings for prizes and gift cards for the shop.
The evening also marks the opening of an art exhibition “Concrete Confetti” with local photographer and writer Risa Friedman. Risa documents architectural details and street art around Denver. Her art is marked with detail and color. The exhibition at Relevant Goods marks her first solo show. “I can’t think of any better way to celebrate being in business for a year than to add to the shop accessible art and be a part of people discovering talent in their own back yard. I think Risa’s photos will change the way people walk through and look at our city,” says Natalie.
The upcoming exhibition with Risa also marks the launching point for an ongoing art series. Every six to eight weeks, a new exhibition will release from a new artist. The exhibits will center specifically on female artists, many of them local. Natalie says “As a female business owner starting life over again, I want Relevant Goods to be a platform for the local female creative voice.”
Natalie says “ I am really grateful for the support I’ve received in the first year. Opening a small business is no joke and the first year takes its toll on everything in life outside the business. I have received kind words and encouragement from many shops and restaurant owners in the neighborhood as well as an immense amount of support and love from family and close friends. “
