Fashion and Live Music Return to the Runway in
Denver at Fierce in the City 2

Denver, CO – The second Fierce in the City event, featuring live music performances interactively with fashion runway shows, creating a uniquely fierce experience, will be held on Sunday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m. at VIEWHOUSE Centennial on 7101 South Clinton Street and will benefit GIRLS, INC. It is being produced by Denver-based Fashion Designer, Salwa Owens, who will be showing her new Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear and Evening Wear collections at the event. Guest designers invited to have their own unique runway shows include jewelry designer Andrea Li, Zofia Wosinska of ÉSTAINE, and leather and fur designer Andreas Tsagas. The event will be emceed by Kristin Battenfield, Denver philanthropist, CEO and founder of KBat Communications.

Musical performers will include Vincent Powell, Season 13 top 20 finalist from American Idol 2013; Season 11 American Idol finalist Devan Blake Jones; Denver violinist Mia Herlinger; pop artist Dorian Phaero and choreographer and dancer Karen Carlson.

GreenLeaf to Host Farm-Raiser Benefit Concert for Nonprofit Youth Leadership Program

Our Fashion Denver headquarters is located in an amazing warehouse full of entrepreneurs, one of them being GreenLeaf! They are doing amazing things and we are thrilled to celebrate with them! Mark your calendars for September 17th….

GreenLeaf, a Denver nonprofit, is excited to celebrate their recent move to the Park Hill neighborhood with the 2016 Farm-Raiser Benefit Concert featuring world dance band Pink Hawks. This family-friendly fundraising event will be held on Saturday, September 17^th, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at The Art Garage at 6100 East 23rd Avenue, Denver, CO 80207. Proceeds will go to support GreenLeaf’s year-round youth leadership development, urban farming, and food justice programming. Early-bird tickets start at just $15 and can be purchased by visiting www.greenleafdenver.org.

We’re excited to have Lisa Sharpe with Stylish Sparrow back for the 2nd time in a row at the White Party and fashion show extravaganza with 303 Magazine! Learn how she will be taking us from summer to fall at her pop up shop next Thursday!

What inspires what you select for your pop up shop?

The season and venue are the two things that inspire the selection of clothing I’ll have in the Stylish Sparrow Pop Up Shop. Being on the brink of the fall transition has my creative juices flowing about how to adapt summer clothing into the next season. My mind is dancing with possibilities of clothing we can enough right now through October!

What do you see is a great trend in “summer into fall” fashion?

My favorite “summer to fall” fashion hack is how enjoy white while also feeling true to the season change. I am so excited to share examples of how to wear white jeans in the fall! I’ll have some great things ready for you to try.
