Wildfires are no stranger to Colorado and it is no secret that this summer they have had an incredibly devastating affect on our beautiful state, as well as the people in it. So, when we heard that Quarterly Karma was hosting Fire in the Sky, an event to benefit all those affected by the Colorado wildfires, we were on board!
Fashion for a good cause? What could be better than that?
Quarterly Karma is a non-profit event planning company that collaborates with the community to raise monetary funds and awareness for worthy causes through unique events.
The event was held on Saturday, September 7th at Cluster Studios in Denver and featured a trunk show, runway fashion show and live music by Redbull and Early Bird // Night Owl. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to Do Your Part, Inc’s fund for the Colorado wildfires, with 98% of every dollar made going directly to the families who need it most. Partygoers enjoyed a few cocktails and ate from the most popular Denver food trucks, offering their support to the commendable charity.
The event hosted a young and lively crowd of Coloradans, making for an entertaining and upbeat night of giving back. We started the night off by browsing through the various trunk shows, getting us even more excited to see the designs come down the runway. We were welcomed into a bustling crowd, which would set the stage for the night and bring an extreme tempo that distinguished it apart from other runway shows. Attendees cheered for the passing models that were representing the featured designs, offering a very comfortable and exciting environment that would continue far into the night.
The 60-foot-long catwalk, with lights draped above mimicking Larimer Square, showcased designs from local and national designers and boutiques including:
