Are you like me, new year, new closet organization? I’ve been going through my closet for the past week, finally able to let go of pieces that I never wear but that have meaning to me. Well, I’M READY TO RELEASE AND LET IT GO! These items need to be shared and worn!! WELL…. all this work is going to go to something pretty awesome!!!!!

This event is a haven for anyone who wears women’s clothing, offering a unique opportunity to revamp your style while contributing to sustainable fashion practices. Hosted at the stunning Grant-Humphries Mansion, this gathering promises a day filled with fashion, fun, and philanthropy.

Schedule:

– 9-10 am: Drop off gently used clothing (North Entrance) and receive an early-bird entry ticket

– 12-1 pm: Early-bird entry for clothing contributors (West Entrance)

– 1-4 pm: General admission (West Entrance) with limited entry for social distancing and building capacity

Dress Code and Recommendations:

Given the absence of dressing rooms, attendees are encouraged to wear something suitable for trying on clothes, such as tank tops, leotards, or swimsuits. With a myriad of styles available, you’re as likely to discover a sequin dress as a power suit or a perfect pair of jeans.

The Golden Rules:

To keep the event enjoyable for everyone, there are a few rules to follow:

1. NO stained, ripped, or ratty clothes unless they have the potential for a fabulous revival.

2. Strictly clothing items only—no housewares allowed.

3. Say no to used socks and underwear unless they are brand new with tags.

4. This is not a platform for sellers or thrift stores; it’s about personal shopping only.

Donations to Local Charities:

The generosity doesn’t end with the swapping. Any leftover clothing from the event will be donated to local charities, contributing to the community and fostering a spirit of giving back.
