A Love Letter in Photos: Julie Trinh Shoots Denver Fashion Week

We were so lucky to have Julie Trinh capture Denver Fashion Week through her lens this season!

Julie is an award-winning wedding and lifestyle photographer based out of Omaha, Nebraska, and we were introduced to her by our very own “on the reg” photographer and community connector, Mio (aka Photo Maki).

With a decade of photojournalism experience and a passion for authentic storytelling, Julie brought her signature true-to-color style and keen eye for candids to Fashion Denver, and we are still swooning over the magic she captured.

More about Julie!

🎓 A University of Nebraska at Omaha grad with a BS in Communication and Journalism, Julie has earned multipleaccolades, including:

🏆 Best of Omaha (2022)
🏆 Giggster’s Top Wedding Photographer (2022)
🏆 Wedding Pioneer’s Best Wedding Photographer (2023)
🏆 Wedding Rule’s Best in Omaha (2021–2023)
🏆 Expertise Wedding’s Best in Omaha (2021–2022)

While weddings are her jam, she’s also a lover of landscapes, laughter, and life’s little moments—which made her a perfect fit for the energy and creativity of Denver Fashion Week.

When she’s not behind the camera, she’s sipping coffee, vibing to “Hipster BBQ” on Spotify, and chasing new adventures from the Grand Tetons to Da Nang.

Julie, thank … Read more!

Fashion Denver Founder Debuts Faith-Inspired “Kingdom Work” Collection at Denver Fashion Week

Denver, CO – April 9, 2025 – After two decades of supporting local designers, curating fashion markets, and covering Denver Fashion Week through her platform Fashion Denver, founder Brandi McMichael is stepping into a new role: featured designer.

McMichael will debut her original collection, Kingdom Work, during Sustainable Night at Denver Fashion Week on May 10th, 2025. The collection is a creative exploration of scripture—bringing stories from Genesis to Revelation into modern life through sustainable fashion and thoughtful design.

“These aren’t Bible costumes,” says McMichael. “They’re modern-day interpretations—reimagined through the lens of faith, fashion, and sustainability. I wanted each look to feel both symbolic and wearable, rooted in scripture but walking boldly in today’s world.”

Each piece is created using upcycled, thrifted, or found materials, many of which came from thrift stores, Charlie’s Tool Shop, and even her parents’ attic. The looks are modeled by members of McMichael’s church community, celebrating creativity, faith, and friendship.

“This show is powered by prayer, praise, and some incredibly beautiful, Lord-lovin’, God-fearin’ friends who just so happen to be my models,” she adds.

Born in the Philippines and adopted as a toddler, McMichael grew up in Colorado, where her love for creativity and … Read more!
