Transitioning Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring: 5 Tips for the Colorado Fashionista

Winter may be on its way out, but in Colorado, it can be hard to know when spring has officially arrived. The weather can be unpredictable, and it’s not uncommon to have snowfall in April. But that doesn’t mean you can’t start preparing your wardrobe for the warmer weather ahead.

Here are some tips for transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring in Colorado:

  1. Layer up: One of the keys to surviving Colorado’s fickle weather is layering. Start with a base layer of a light long-sleeved shirt or sweater, then add a jacket or coat that you can easily remove as the day warms up. Scarves and hats are also a great way to add warmth and style to your outfit.
  2. Embrace color: Winter in Colorado can be dark and dreary, so it’s time to add some color to your wardrobe. Spring is all about bright and cheerful hues, so don’t be afraid to add some pastels or bold prints to your outfits.Fashion Denver Style Tips

RECAP // Dali Alive inspired fashion show

If you’re a fan of fashion and Salvador Dali’s surrealistic works, you would have loved the fashion show that took place at Stanley Marketplace on January 31st. The show, produced by Factory Fashion  and Skye Barker Maa, brought together 15 local designers who showcased outfits inspired by Dali’s iconic art.

The event was a celebration of Dali’s impact on art and culture, with The LUME Colorado’s immersive experience DALÍ ALIVE serving as the backdrop for the fashion show. The show was an immersive experience that combined art, fashion, and culture, with guests sipping cocktails while enjoying projections of Dali’s artwork.

The show also featured a performance by jkco.dance, who added a surrealistic touch to the event.

The success of the show highlights the potential for more collaborations between art forms and industries in the future. It was an unforgettable experience that brought together fashion, art, and culture, celebrating the creativity and innovation of local designers. Winter Fashion Camp Recap

On January 29th, Fashion Denver hosted a super stylish and fun-filled event – Fashion Camp for mini fashionistas, ages 4 to 11! This camp was all about giving kiddos a chance to play and explore the fabulous world of fashion.

The campers were treated to a lineup of special guests who are experts in their fashion fields and were ready to share their skills and passions with the kids. Jewelry designer Andrea Li dazzled the kids with her creative designs and attention to detail.

Meanwhile, Rachel Hartman, a designer and brand manager at Original Favorites, led the girls in designing their own one-of-a-kind pillowcases.

Tennisia, the runway pro, taught the kids how to sashay down the catwalk with confidence and flair. And to top off the fashion experience, Tasha gave each camper a mini makeover, transforming them into true fashion divas!

It was a day full of laughter, learning, and fabulous fashion fun. The kids left with big smiles on their faces and a newfound love for all things fashion. Fashion Camp was a hit and the kids can’t wait for the next one!
