Pull into the alley behind Snooze for the suitcase drop!

Did you know that oftentimes, foster children are given a garbage bag to put their belongings in and move along to their next foster home? It breaks our hearts! We’re teaming up with The Lion Project to create a SUITCASE DRIVE-THROUGH to bring love into these difficult transitions!

Lion Project and Fashion Denver suitcase drive

Please bring your gently used or brand new suitcases / rolling travel cases, or travel bags for our Suitcase Driveby! Pull into the alley behind Snooze and you will see us posted up with breakfast burritos and coffee for those who are making a donation!

If there are any items and goodies that you would like to donate for the suitcases, please feel free to drop those items off too and we’ll be sure to stuff the suitcases with your generous donations!

We’ll be posted up for 2 hours between 9-noon. If you are unable to swing by the drive-by, please contact me if you want to make a donation before or after.

Couture for Confidence adds teen designer event

Couture for Confidence adds teen designer event

Bella BoutiqueBella Boutique, a Denver based non-profit that provides free prom gowns to teens in financial need is hosting Couture for Confidence on Saturday October 8th, 2016.  This event is a fundraising fashion show that features “ugly” prom dresses that are refashioned by Denver area designers.  These updated designs are featured in a fashion show and auctioned off during our live auction.

Bella Boutique is excited to add a Teen Designer Competition to this year’s Couture for Confidence fundraising fashion show.  Teen designers will create designs from “ugly” prom gowns.  The teen designers will meet with our judges for an interview about how they created their designers.  The judges including Denver fashion industry professionals that will view the gown on a model as well as off the model to view the construction of the design.  During the event, these designs will be auctioned off during our silent auction.  The winners of the competition will be chosen both from judge’s scores and how the design is bid on in our silent auction.  A winner will be announced at the end of the night.  Come out and support Denver’s future designers.

A trip with the Urban Angels

We are honored to work with The Urban Angels on their amazing dress drive! We delivered 55 dresses that were handmade by these amazing women! We stopped by to check out The Action Center and all the amazing ways they serve those in need in the Jefferson County area.

It takes at least 80 volunteers daily to run this facility. Places like #Walmart, #WholeFoods, #TraderJoes, and #Sprouts donate to The Action Center so families can get healthy food, clothes, and household items.

Please donate! They are in need of children’s clothing and men’s clothing! Read more!
