Denver Fashion Week Presented by The Green Solution and Medicine Man Announces 2021 Fall Lineup
DENVER (October 22, 2021) – Since 2018, Denver Fashion Week has been Colorado’s largest fashion event. During the week-long show, emerging and established designers and boutiques from both Denver and around the country will showcase their collections’ key seasonal styles, enhanced by the work of talented hairstylists, makeup artists and models. Denver Fashion Week is incredibly grateful to this year’s presenting sponsors, The Green Solution and Medicine Man.
“Denver Fashion Week strives to produce a world-class fashion experience that promotes local artisans while raising awareness for participants and sponsors and increasing economic development for the region’s fashion and design communities,” says AB Aharonian, founder and producer of Denver Fashion Week. “When Denver Fashion Week launched, we wanted to make a platform that celebrates the incredible talent we have in this city. The event has become a hub for creatives to connect and collaborate with like-minded individuals.”
Denver Fashion Week presented by The Green Solution and Medicine Man’s five-day event at McNichols Civic Center Building kicks off with industry workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 16 and 17, followed by three days of shows, November 18, 20 and 21.
November 16 Workshop: Runway Model Workshop
Led by agency directors Nikki Strickler and Kiana Johnson of Southwest Model and Talent Agency, this workshop is aimed at both new and established models looking for the opportunity to hone in on their craft. Both Nikki and Kiana bring vast experience to Denver Fashion Week. Both have worked as models internationally and are able to share crucial insight into the ins and outs of the industry. In this two-hour workshop, models will receive guidance on how to walk, pose and prepare for castings. The workshop will wrap up with a Q&A period.
November 17 Workshop: Intellectual Property in the Fashion Industry
The development of an intellectual property (IP) portfolio and strategy is an asset to those in the fashion industry. Whether it’s trademarking a label or seeking design patents for unique ornamental features of an upcoming line, understanding and establishing IP can help create and distinguish a brand from competitors, provide an opportunity for growth, provide protection from counterfeiters and add value to a brand and company. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Rocky Mountain Regional Director, Molly Kocialski, and Taryn Elliott, who manages IP portfolios at law firm Polsinelli, will help those in the fashion industry understand how to identify their intellectual property, and develop their strategy to establish, monitor and protect their IP rights.

About Denver Fashion Week:
Denver Fashion Weekend was launched in 2012 with the goal of supporting Denver’s fast-growing fashion industry. In 2018, DFW partnered with Denver Arts & Venues and Visit Denver to become Denver’s first official fashion week. As a burgeoning hub for Denver’s fashion elite, the organization has introduced a series of workshops each season that contribute to the professional and creative growth of Denver’s local artisans. Named by Forbes as “a trusted alternative to New York for emerging talent,” DFW is the city’s largest fashion event bringing together an eclectic array of new and seasoned designers with local boutiques, hair stylists, make-up artists and models.
