Besides producing fashion events, one of my biggest passions is helping designers and other small businesses grow their businesses. I am having the pleasure of working with designer Melody Merrit of Infxous Scrubs! We’ve been consulting with Melody for the past couple of years and are watching her take her dream and turn it into reality.
Melody designs stylish scrubs for the medical and spa industries and it has been a dream of hers to get her designs into production and into a trade show. Well, that dream is here! We are spending the week in San Diego assisting Melody at the Uniform Retailer Trade show! I’ve been working to design her website www.infxousscrubs.com , re-branding her logo with an updated look, and designing all of her marketing materials (flyers, business cards, and banners). Now, I’m here to help get her out their to the retailers and distributors!
We’re having a great time here. Today we spent 6 hours setting up the booth. Assembling all of the parts and pieces of our racks and tables and steaming all of the clothes has been tiring, but we’re getting our second wind for the fashion show happening tonight!
I speak for many women when I say that the pairing of wine and shoes is a true art form, which was showcased beautifully this past Saturday, September 21st at the Four Seasons Hotel Denver.
When I first heard of the Wine, Women and Shoes event I thought that it was specifically made for me; turns out it was made for an even better cause: Child Advocates – Denver CASA. CASA hand selects the most qualified volunteers to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Denver Juvenile Courts. Donations are made to the vision that one day all children will have a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. The founder of Fashion Denver, Brandi Shigley, and I arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel Denver to a greeter who jokingly sang us into the event as if we were in the movie Cinderella (how fitting!). We followed the staircase up to the lavish event where we were asked to put our best foot forward, literally, for a picture of our … Read more!
I have always loved Neiman Marcus and believe their store is the epitome of luxury and class. They carry some of the most exclusive and top name brands in the beauty industry, making it a perfect candidate to host the premier beauty event of the season.
On Saturday, September 14th Neiman Marcus hosted Project Beauty 2013, an event that featured elegant new products and the latest in revolutionary hi-tech tools. The products were displayed in an intimate and exciting runway setting, allowing for close up views of the beauty products, as well as their application on the models. Attendees were offered the chance to enter a raffle where they had the opportunity to win a gift package each time a brand presented and walked the catwalk.
Brandi, founder of Fashion Denver, and I arrived at the morning runway presentation to a friendly and beautiful crowd of individual’s eager to learn more about how they could enhance their beauty routine. We found our seats, were handed a mimosa, and gushed over how excited we were to get professional opinions and tips on the various products.
Oh, and of course to meet the world-renowned Napoleon Perdis!
Wildfires are no stranger to Colorado and it is no secret that this summer they have had an incredibly devastating affect on our beautiful state, as well as the people in it. So, when we heard that Quarterly Karma was hosting Fire in the Sky, an event to benefit all those affected by the Colorado wildfires, we were on board!
Fashion for a good cause? What could be better than that?
Quarterly Karma is a non-profit event planning company that collaborates with the community to raise monetary funds and awareness for worthy causes through unique events.
The event was held on Saturday, September 7th at Cluster Studios in Denver and featured a trunk show, runway fashion show and live music by Redbull and Early Bird // Night Owl. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to Do Your Part, Inc’s fund for the Colorado wildfires, with 98% of every dollar made going directly to the families who need it most. Partygoers enjoyed a few cocktails and ate from the most popular Denver food trucks, offering their support to the commendable charity.
The event hosted a young and lively crowd of Coloradans, making for an entertaining and upbeat … Read more!
