Get To Know Our Fall Intern – Stephanie Rowe!

My name is Stephanie Rowe and I am a Colorado native now residing in the Denver area.  I recently graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in marketing. I played for the University of New Mexico women’s soccer team all four years and moved to Denver after graduation to pursue a fashion career in the city that I love.

I am currently working on my MBA at the University of Colorado – Denver.  In my free time you can find me hiking, attending farmer’s markets, roaming the streets of Denver, doing DIY projects or shopping at adorable boutiques.  My month long backpacking trip through Europe left me with a passion to see the world and experience all it has to offer. I like to incorporate different cultures into my everyday attire, but feel best in a chic black outfit. I pride myself in my ability to combine inexpensive items with high-end designer pieces to make a cohesive and elegant look.

Red Camper

I first met Maura Gramzinski, brains behind Red Camper,  in 2005. I had just moved back from San Diego to my home state of Colorado and had just begun to produce our Fashion Denver fashion markets. At the time, I was still making my b.shigley designs handbags. Through the creative Denver community our worlds came together. I was a huge fan of Maura’s work. She designs bags that are made of old slides. (See bags and read the story here).

Flash forward to last week when I saw a blog post featuring one of my favorite tiny towns in Colorado, Silver Plume! There, in Martha Stewart’s blog , was a blip about Red Camper, only it wasn’t the handbag Red Camper, I knew… it was a brand new endeavor! Delicious Jams!

Flash forward to yesterday when we took our dog to the dog park and stopped by the Farmer’s Market only to get to see the latest Red Camper endeavor in action with delicious Picnic Supplies!

Hello!  Project Runway is now casting Season 13, and I’d love to hear which up-and-coming designers are on your radar. We’re excited to offer designers the chance to showcase their work during New York Fashion Week, and the opportunity to win $100,000 or more to launch or expand their own fashion line.

We first met Juan Jimenez 4 years ago while he was a fashion student. Since then, we’ve seen him move forward by leaps and bounds! We’re proud to be a sponsor of his latest fashion show!

Asia meets French Couture at Barrera International presents the Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection Preview, which will be held at the Space Gallery on September 5th, 2013.  This gallery provides the perfect landscape for the jewel-toned collection and provides a contrast of color against a contemporary white solid cubicle.  With September marking the one 2nd anniversary of founding of the brand, Barrera will be showcasing a collection with over 40 looks and presented as a luxurious and private runway presentation, and a pop-up shop where clients and guest can purchase, customize and place orders.

The Autumn/Winter2014 collection is composed of six major elements, which include satin, silk, chiffons, wool, cashmere, and seasonal blends. With the women’s Spring 2013 Collection. The runway presentation will consist of the Ready to Wear Collection, Menswear and a Couture collection. Fashion Denver history

Ahhhhh… it’s almost been 10 years since I’ve started Fashion Denver and boy how it has evolved and grown and shrunk and grown again! Fashion Denver started out as my way to help local designers get their businesses out there. I used to be a handbag designer (I’m semi-retired) and my business took me to Southern California, London, Paris, New York and more! I realized that it wasn’t exactly the designing that I was passionate about but that drive to get my handbags out there. After moving back from San Diego, I realized that I wanted to focus on taking all of the experiences that I’ve had and using them to build on the fashion scene in Denver.

When I was in California, I did these fabulous fashion markets that featured designers in super cool gallery space. It was such a wonderful event and it allowed me to sell my bags to people that may not have found me otherwise. When I got back to Denver, I wanted to create a similar market like the ones I had sold in, but add other elements like fashion shows, interviews with designers, dj’s and more!
