Now in its second year produced by Fashion Denver, this high-energy runway event brings together local legends and fresh talent to honor the art of fashion. As Denver and Paris collide in this vibrant showcase, our featured designers bring global inspiration, timeless elegance, and bold creativity to the runway. From historical couture to modern streetwear, each look offers a fresh take on European influence with Colorado soul.

At the intersection of fashion and activism comes a new summer series that dares us to rethink what we wear—and why. Curated by Kayte Green, owner of Recovering Hipster Goods, and Michael Sullivan, creator behind HAUS, “Wear the Resistance: Mindful Consumption” is more than just a lecture series; it’s a call to action for conscious creatives, style rebels, and sustainability advocates. Kicking off this June, the first weekend of events invites us to explore how fashion can be both radical and restorative through upcycling, mending, and community building.

The French American Chamber of Commerce Rocky Mountain is thrilled to announce the return of Bastille Day: French Fest, taking place July 11–13, 2025, at Fillmore Plaza in Cherry Creek North—Denver’s most vibrant and walkable neighborhood. This free, family- and pet-friendly outdoor celebration highlights French culture and its global connections, bringing together the elegance, flavor and creativity of France with the diverse traditions of communities around the world. This year, guests can also enjoy specially curated, ticketed wine and culinary experiences produced in partnership with Vin Social.

From Trash to Textiles: A Fashion Adventure with Valor Christian High School Seniors

Earlier this year, I had the absolute joy of heading back to Valor Christian High School for Year 3 of leading their senior conservatory students on a one-of-a-kind fashion adventure!

Our mission? To take upcycled materials—mostly sourced from the quirky and wonderful Charlie’s Tool Shop—and transform them into stunning, wearable art. Each team of students worked together to create one complete look, blending Charlie’s finds with treasures they thrifted or purchased on their own.

Every week, I’d pop in to see their designs coming to life—watching as demolition bags, old hardware, and unexpected odds and ends were stitched into something magical. It was so fun to see each student’s creativity shine, watching them experiment, problem-solve, and think outside the box—or, in this case, the toolbox!
