COVID-19; A threat to the health and economy of our communities.

From our friends over at B.Fresh

COVID-19; A threat to the health and economy of our communities. During these strange times, we must protect ourselves from ourselves. Being the social creatures that we are, this concept of social distancing seems more foreign than bat stew! Yet, it is the harsh reality we are currently faced with. Socially distancing ourselves to dead the spread of this global pandemic known as coronavirus. Of course, it is our civic duty to keep those most at risk, safe.

In order to do so, we must cancel life as we know it! First, we were told no gatherings of large crowds. SXSW; canceled. Denver’s 420 festival; canceled. The NBA, NHL, and NCAA March Madness tournament; canceled! Things already weren’t looking good!

Then they got a whole lot worse. Gatherings of 250 people or more; canceled. Gatherings of 50 people or more; canceled. Then President Trump recommended no gatherings of 10 people or more. Restaurants and bars were ordered to take-out only for 8 weeks, Colorado’s ski resorts ceased operations and Las Vegas… Never thought we’d see the day that Las Vegas closed.

Ok, we just went from unprecedented to weird and strange real quick! So, … Read more!

The Urban Angels, making a difference through creativity

The Urban Angels

When we had our boutique on Bannock Street, I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming dear life-changing friends with Peggy and Mary, two women with some of the biggest hearts that I’ve ever met. They walked into the shop and it was like they brought the sunshine with them! As I began to know them over the years, I saw how much they love serving the community, not just locally, but internationally. They began to rub off on me and inspire me to serve my community.

What is the mission of the Urban angels:

Our mission is to bring encouragement and hope to those in need, especially children around the world.  We have been lucky enough to give our dresses and care packages to children in Denver, Haiti, Honduras, Peru, Guatemala, and the Philippines.

What can others do to serve?

Start in your own backyard and don’t feel like any gesture is too small to … Read more!

What You Need to Survive Winter Wonderland

By: Veronica Randolph

Living in Colorado can be nothing but magical, that is, until you notice your skin is peeling, your lips are chapped and you’ve been wearing sweatpants for a week. Living in Colorado during the winter months means you have to have a solid survival guide. We are going to dive into what the top must-haves to keep you looking and feeling gorgeous in the Mile High City during the winter season.

Once you’ve woken up in the morning and you’re finished brushing your teeth and cleansing your skin from the night before, it’s time to moisturize. My all time favorite moisturizer is none other than Cetaphil. This facial moisturizer provides all-day hydration without the greasy, pore-clogging annoyance of other drug store skin care lines. I love Cetaphil because winter can be brutal for your skin, this product gives a fresh, dewy look without any makeup. Cetaphil provides a flattering shine to the face, I don’t deal with my makeup flaking throughout the day. The Cetaphil line is dermatologist tested, it is safe and gentle for the skin. It is also non-comedogenic, if you find your skin to be Read more!
