The fitness world is such a huge culture and to see a local Colorado company taking the fitness world by storm with such stylish and simple pieces, sure is inspiring! Let’s learn a little bit more Tyler Bently and his company TYDAL.
What inspired your love for fashion and fashion design?
What inspired me the most for fashion and fashion design is the idea that I can create something from nothing that people enjoy wearing. I’m also inspired by designers that create pieces that create trends rather than follow them. 2 such designers include Jerry Lorenzo and Daniel Patrick.
What is the first thing you ever designed?
The first thing I designed was a t-shirt that featured a digitally printed design of a woman in a ski mask shushing the viewer. My brand began as street wear and later transitioned to athletic wear.
How long have you been designing?
5 years.
Did you go to school for design or are you self taught?
Self taught.
Who is/are your biggest inspiration/s? (Family, Friends, Designers, etc…)
My family has been my biggest inspiration for their continued support, entrepreneurial drive, and creativity.
What message or story do you aim for your clothes to tell?
My message for those that wear TYDAL Wear is that you can overcome any obstacle and achieve anything you set your mind to by perseverance. The brands mission is to build a culture for those that Rise by Perseverance.
What is your go to textile?
A cotton/poly blend.
What was the inspiration behind your latest collection?
I wanted to create pieces that are different and that you can wear during your workout or a night out on the town.
What does 2020 look like for you in the world of fashion?
My goals for 2020 are to create more pieces that further establish my brands identity, create stories through content, and get people excited to wear them anywhere.
