Urgent Mission: Paddy’s Tree Emporium Illuminates Denver’s Darkest Corner with Joy, Just 10 Days ’til Christmas

With only 10 days until Christmas, Paddy’s Tree Emporium, a temporary Christmas tree lot with a profound mission, is set to bring light, joy, and the true spirit of Christmas to an area facing challenges of homelessness, addiction, and crime. Located at 2265 Lawrence Street, with the entrance in the alley directly behind Snooze, this unique initiative is the brainchild of local architect Patrick McMichael, owner of the lot where the trees stand, and Franklin Riley, an acclaimed Chicago artist.

McMichael and Riley collaborated to transform the backyard into a haven of holiday cheer. Utilizing industrial materials, the duo not only created a festive Christmas tree lot but also crafted a space that fosters community and togetherness during the holiday season.

Brandi McMichael, Patrick’s wife and founder of Fashion Denver, has taken on the role of infusing the Christmas spirit into Paddy’s Tree Emporium. The lot is more than just a place to purchase a tree; it’s a celebration of hope, joy, and unity.

In the spirit of giving back to the community, Paddy’s Tree Emporium has pledged to make a difference with every tree sold. Proceeds from each sale will go towards supporting two local nonprofit organizations – the Denver Dream Center and the Lion Project. Both organizations, deeply rooted in the downtown neighborhood, are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those facing adversity.
