A little behind-the-scenes from last night’s Skye A little behind-the-scenes from last night’s Skye Aire fashion show! ✨👠 What an absolute JOY to experience a fashion show from the runway side of things! I’m so grateful I got to model in this beautiful production, spend time getting to know some of the incredible models and team a little better, and be part of bringing Skye Barker Maa’s vision to life. From the fashion to the movement to the storytelling, the entire show felt like a work of art. There was so much imagination, intention and true artistic mastery woven into every detail. What an honor to walk the runway surrounded by such incredible beauty, creativity and talent. And what a FUN night!! 🩷✨ Thank you, Skye, for inviting me into your vision. I’ll treasure this experience! 👠 P.S. Tonight, we get to see designer Skye Barker Maa’s vision come to life with The Last Afternoon Fashion Show, and it is so much more than fashion. It’s poignant. Beautiful. Creative. Thought-provoking. And even spiritual. This is what we love about fashion as art. It can tell a story, stir something inside of us and transport us somewhere we didn’t expect to go. Skye, thank you for dreaming this up and for inviting us into your world. This was REAL quality time. 🥹❤️ On Saturday, I got to sit down with the amazing Mona Lucero, one of the true OGs of Denver fashion, in her beautiful showroom and design space. And we REMINISCED. We talked about shows, designers, people, adventures, and moments we’ve shared throughout more than TWO DECADES of Denver fashion. 🤯 HOLY MOLY. There was something so special about actually sitting together, slowing down, and remembering where we’ve been, how much has changed, and all the beautiful creativity that has woven its way through the years. Mona, I treasure you, your friendship, your incredible talent, and the history we share. The skies opened up, the storm rolled in… and THE The skies opened up, the storm rolled in… and THE SHOW WENT ON! 🌩️🔥✨ What a beautiful celebration at the Dashiki Festival, where African culture came alive through fashion, food, music, movement and community. 🌍💃🏾🎶 The runway was bursting with gorgeous African fashions, bold colors and incredible craftsmanship, along with a collection that beautifully wove in Asian influences, reminding us just how magical fashion becomes when cultures, creativity and storytelling meet. And that CRAZY storm? It tried. 😂⛈️ But it certainly wasn’t stopping this fashion show! African food, music, fashion and so much joy filled the festival.
