On Friday, October 30, CreativeMornings Denver took over the incredible Hangar Club in Lowry for a morning celebrating the global CreativeMornings theme, ALTITUDE.
And what better way to explore that theme than with Denver fashion designer, entrepreneur, and creative visionary Skye Barker Maa, founder of SKYEAIRE!
The morning kicked off with a runway show featuring SKYEAIRE designs, bringing fashion and creative expression to a venue with its own fascinating history.
Fashion Takes Flight at the Hangar Club!
The Hangar Club is located at the former Lowry Air Force Base, making it a fitting backdrop for a morning dedicated to ALTITUDE.
Once home to aircraft, this historic hangar was transformed into a gathering place for Denver’s creative community, complete with a fashion runway!
Guests were treated to a showcase of SKYEAIRE designs, celebrating Skye’s distinctive approach to fashion through sculptural silhouettes, bold shapes, and artistic expression.
It was such a wonderful reminder that fashion is so much more than clothing. It’s storytelling, individuality, and wearable art!
Meet the Creative Force Behind SKYEAIRE
Skye Barker Maa is no stranger to pushing creative boundaries!
As the founder of SKYEAIRE, Skye creates avant-garde couture and ready-to-wear fashion that celebrates individuality and challenges conventional ideas of design.
Her work has traveled from Denver to runways in New York, Paris, and beyond.
But Skye’s impact reaches far beyond her own collections. Her passion for fashion, entrepreneurship, and creative expression made her a wonderful fit for CreativeMornings!

Two Creative Worlds Come Together!
For Fashion Denver founder Brandi McMichael, this particular CreativeMornings event was an extra-special full-circle moment.
Brandi and Skye’s creative history goes all the way back to their college days, when they shared creative writing classes. Their paths continued to cross through Denver’s fashion and entrepreneurial communities, including their time with Sky Bar.
Fast-forward to October 2026, and those creative journeys came together once again!
Brandi, who founded Fashion Denver in 2004, also serves as the Executive Producer and Host of CreativeMornings Denver.
Having Skye take the stage as a CreativeMornings speaker, while opening the morning with a SKYEAIRE runway show, brought those two worlds together in a beautiful way.
From college classrooms to fashion shows to building creative communities, what a journey!
